I think this is one of the longest minibike tracks I have ever seen. This looks like amazing fun! Rarely seen minis at such sustained, elevated speeds.

Though he sold the place several years ago, King Kenny's ranch was about 5 miles east of Hickman, California along Lake Road. I visited there in 2015 for his annual American Heroes dinner to benefit injured veterans. That evening's guest speaker was Hershel "Woody" Williams, a USMC flamethrower operator who won the Congressional Medal of Honor for his heroics on Iwo Jima in WWII. It was a most memorable day at The Ranch!

Ed's grace on a motorcycle is clearly evident. Sure his bike is fast but his smooth and elegant riding is like a Olympic figure skater on a motorcycle. I could watch him ride around that cone all day.

I have never seen a Kayo move so fast. Inspiring. How is this bike different from a stock one? It accelerates fiercly.

The bikes were YSRs. IIRC, Eddie's YSR had a late-model YZ-80 engine installed, Airtech Bodywork, Performance Machine Disc and Brake Caliper, Öhlins rear shock and few TZR 80 parts, and was put together by Grey Robert Imports (before their unfortunate fall from grace) about 1990-1991.

What modifications? Sick laps!

I miss my YSR50. I think that 1 bike has a YZ80 engine and the rest are stock.

What an Epic day of ripping the minis with the greatest group of Gp riders! Just watching this so many years later is still to this day Awesome! I got to twist the throttle of Wayne Raineys #1 Marlboro Gp 500cc Bike at a Toyota long beach Gran Prix No it wasn't running! It was on display inside the long beach auditorium... One of the most Epic days of my life! Thanks for sharing!

i would love to be run off the track by Eddie Lawson on a YSR 50.....that would be fine.

Was this in Oakdale, Ca? I'm from Modesto; my best friend used to be the general manager of Kenny Robert's Yamaha in Modesto, ca. It's not fair that Eddie showed up with an 80 when everyone else had a 50 ~ LOL ~ Still lot's of fun none the less. Great vid!!!!!

This sport is over run by kids I don't mean to be rude but I love the sport of Pocket Bike Racing or Mini MotoGP Pocket Bike Racing but there are very few adults or teenagers that race Pocket Bikes that angers me someone needs to start a over 14 racing club for the sport of Pocket Bike Racing.

Is that the Kayo with the CRF150R engine? What engine or mods is that other bike running?

これは貴重な映像で！ ケニーロバーツのとこでこういう事やってるという話は聞いた事あったけど、実際の映像が見られると思わなかったｗｗ ローソンそのままGP走る格好で乗ってるしｗｗｗ これCR80とかのエンジン積んでるんじゃないかな？ (当時チューナーでYSRにDT200のエンジン積む人まで居たけど) しかし上手いもんだね流石にｗｗｗ ミニバイク経験の無いレーサーだけ乗ってる人だと、サスペンションがカクカクしちゃって走れない人達多いんだけど 冒頭のコシンスキーのタイヤの暖め方が練習量の豊富さを物語ってますなｗｗｗ

MiniGp? Are you THAT ignorant of Yamaha models that you are unaware those are YSR50's? They are street legal not MiniGp bikes. I used to race these and FZR400's against KRJR when he was coming up. Figures he had a stable of them and his own private practice track.

I like to think that every time a person has fun on a motorcycle, a cop drops a donut :P
