These were PIRELLIPIRELLI SCORPION RALLY STR - don't remember the size, but it was the standard for the XJ. I only have replaced the rear rim with wider one again from Yamaha. Sold the bike a year ago :)

Indeed! And it is way cheaper to get hp and reliability there :D But anyway - that's not why we are into the 75's is it! p.s. The car is now with ITBs, and few more mods and does 265 WHP

There was something messed up with the valve timing that we did (they were re-grind valves) and also the tune.

@@155stw I would say 90%. We had to modify a bit the actual trumpets to fit as few were clashing each other on the sides of the mounting points. This may depend on where the heads sit (if milled multiple times, they may sit lower, making it closer for the trumpets). I don't recall also having instructions for the actual assembly of the Jenvey parts, which is self explanatory but takes some time to do. Also if you are considering it for 116 series 75/GTV like me, the trumpets might hit your bonnet, unless modified. Overall if you are planning to do ITBs I don't think there is more suitable option for what you get and the $$.

Hey Shea, these were custom made. The inside is Yellow Coni's and outside was done by using scrap parts from VW coilovers and welding. For the 2022 season I purchased Intrax and the car is now with those - way better handling and option for adjustment to fit the available tracks here. Torsion bars were completely removed even with the custom coilovers, you need to calculate spring rates.

@@tuxgt1 did you find you had to re-enforce the inner fender for the top mount?

@@sheamcclure6639 it was already reenforced as we had rollcage installed prior. Both front and rear top mounting points are stronger. If you go coils front and back, I would vote reenforcement especially in the rear as that element was not meant to carry the whole load. Alternative is for the back to still use springs separately

The first version of it (like in the video) was not working great and I broke 2nd gear, we modified it a bit and now works better. For my other one which is street only will try to monkey shifter.

he really doesnt though. watch it at 0.25 speed. He's pressing the clutch as he shifts. You can disengage a gear into neutral without the need for a clutch, so he can make half the gear change happen before needing the clutch to be fully depressed
