chapter 2 lobby was peak

Chapter 1 season 4,5,6,and 7 had some of the best lobby’s imo,I kinda miss the dynamic lobby’s that are based on parts of the map.

I miss creative lobby so much

i hate that they hid save the world and other gamemodes behind a fake load, i know its fake cause over time as theyve added more modes those modes havent had to "load" unlike save the world, team rumble, etc.

Lazy company(epic games) Support epic games like shit....

If we lost 3D lobbies purely down to lower end devices not running well epic could have easily switched them to a png instead while leaving medium to higher end devices untouched :/

Listening to someone talking like a horror youtuber about something as little cared about as the fortnight lobby screen is absolutely wild I would probably do it again

I know epic will probably not do this but I really hope / wish they would add these cool 3D lobbies back for the og seasons they’re rereleasing. It would be such a great touch along with them putting the health bar in the middle again 🥲 (also great job on the video bro the editing was on par you deserve more recognition) 💯🔥

Fortnite Is trying to become other modern games. Fortnite used to have it's own unique style. Look at the chapter 2 season 1 ui, it has unique shapes and design. Nowadays the lobby ui is just rounded squares and unoriginal.

The fact they keep updating the skins thumbnails, remember when all skins had one pose that made them look tough and organized that made the locker look perfect but o well now most skins have no background rarity and the locker looks very unorganized and a complete mess sadly.

Wish they could sell the old ones as bundles by chapters

Chapter 2 the last time we saw 3d lobbies now it’s just a PNG and if you’re good enough with computers you can just go into the files and change that lobby background PNG to whatever you want so nice work epic games you have a given us a way to do something inappropriate but in my opinion, chapter 1 had the best lobby 3:12 because all this was actually made in a 3D space with 3D models and all

Pretty sure it’s to help save memory so your device/machine isn’t just rendering a lot of 3D models in the lobby for better performance. Is also why they have a feature where if there is no inputs happening from the player, the game will temporarily set your fps low to preserve memory. (Pretty sure a lot of us have left our games on in the background before / afk) In all yes it looked nice back then but this change was very good too.

The thing that annoys me is that the early lobby fit the simulation theme and the new one no longer does. The glitchy/radio transitions between menus, the holographic animations and techy backdrops/platforms. It fit the whole loop theme with the drones scanning you in and out of the map, the shield animations and sfx and the weapons being holograms. Those things are so out of place nowadays with the lobby and current storyline

I will always miss when they would update the creative hub and you would use portals to access maps its way to cluttered now. As for the lobby I hate the new curve like design and I miss how it used to show your level and the next item you could unlock in the lobby. And overall the battle pass screens were pretty cool in early chapter 2 but since then it’s been bland for years. One more thing that needs to be looked at is the locker skin rarities are gone and it looks like shit now.

I do have to say, you definitely “get” why OG Fortnite was special.

This was a great video! I was fully expecting it to just be a barade of hate but it was just a true breakdown of the lobby’s history and why it ended up like this, you’ve earned a sub from me! I personally wish they would give each mode its own ui especially since they already have their own ui styles in promo and in the games themselves, and I hope they make creative a hub type thing again, but its not like I can’t use it properly use it at the end of the day so I don’t mind

The 3D lobbies were really cool. Even just the OG lobby was honestly better than what we’ve got now. Maybe more so in season 3 than season 0, but still.

It got recommend on my FYP and till the end, i thought you are someone with a LOT of subs and Views and after seeing the Views this video currently has (158) i was shoked because you definitely earned more! However to the video. Me and my GF, we both miss the old Lobbys especially the 3D backgrounds and it really is sad to see that eventually it won't come back at all. This huge overload on creative Maps beeing shown isn't something i personally enjoy. The fact that you have to scroll down 3 times to get to the "by epic" tab is ridiculous

i feel that, sometimes things aren’t bad or they are just not terrible but you gotta wonder why they made this suffer for a shitty metaverse good video 10/10 :)
