I feel like it most likely will not hurt Fortnite because a lot of people will possibly come back to fortnite because of OG, and if you don't enjoy OG, you can play festival, racing, lego, and whatever chapter 6 will be at this point. It's sad that a lot of the time they are using their original gameplay to just get players back, I undertstand how you feel though. My personal opinion is just that I would probably be fine with this, it does worry me what will happen to battle royale now.

Its impossible for them to avoid permanent og if they want creative to thrive. Either they limit creative, taking away from their goal of the metaverse, or further expand and update creative allowing for other creators to make of anyway. This is just them keeping ownership of chapter 1 while expanding creative.

This is such a good quality video! I agree for me, nostalgia played a big factor on getting back onto Fortnite OG 1, it brought back the games with mates and the whole lot of fun with it! Looking forward to when they bring back Chapter 1 Season 1 permanently.

You KNOW its getting bad when people are wishing for chapter 4 (the most hated chapter) to come back, fortnite needs to get rid of their whole "whatever makes us money" mindset and get back their "whatever makes the players happy" mindset.

Dog did not cook with this video. 1. This mode isnt "semipermanent", its just permanent. We dont know exactly what will happen after season X, but this is supposed to be a "permanent og mode" as the leakers and epic themselves said. Theyre gonna cycle back to c1s1 after some unspecified "end of og" season. Be that season X, c2s2 or some other competely arbitrary time. 2. Fortnite og isnt "special because we dont have it permanently". We all loved fortnite chapter 1 when we had it for two entire years, at least until season 9. Claiming that "og is only good because we dont have it" or "og is only good because of nostaliga" is forgetting the fact that the time we're talking about is a time when neither of those things were true. Chapter 5 was just worse than chapter 1, simple as 3. We dont know how good chapter 6 will be. This mode isnt necessarily a "epic are lazy so instead of fixing their game they just give us old content" mode. Maybe epic learnt from their mistakes and chapter 6 will be amazing. You clearly have a outwardly negative view of the new chapter before we've even seen the first trailer. Of course youre not gonna like it

The thing that destroyed Fortnite were the collabs ... since chapter 2 season 4 (marvel) everything went down hill ... plus warzone came out in chapter 2 and for a whole year people were split between warzone and fortnite ... plus the live events hit diferent in chapter 1 I was at work whatching Nick and PK to see the live event

The thing is, Fortnite not bringing chapter 1 back out sooner knowing that's what everyone actually wanted is more slimy than your opinion You have a right to your opinion but you're wrong, they should've brought it out sooner as that's what the community wants.

100% agree, it won't feel the same. But if they bring all the old battle passes back then it will be a slap in the face to people who put time and effort into them before. I don't have all of the rewards or passes from back then either and I'm perfectly fine with that. But also, its gonna get boring real quick, last time OG came out, I got bored of it about 4 weeks in, so 10 months will be interesting to say the least.

Nice video! Honestly, I don’t care much about the direction Fortnite takes. Maybe it’s just me, but as a casual player, I’ve been enjoying the game so far and don’t mind the constant collaborations. That said, I’m open to hearing other perspectives. I never got to play during Fortnite’s ‘prime’ days since I only started in late Chapter 2, so I can see why others might have different views.

it won't die you don't know better than epics million dollar marketing team you already know how many people were playing OG on RELEASE 4 million people that chapter 5 lost instantly because the first thing they saw was a dull map and Peter Griffin it's literally only a good thing to bring back a MASSIVE part of the community that the game lost through these last 4 years people who were going to play OG were not going to play chapter 6, they are essentially different playerbases

it was gonna be the first time I got my girlfriend to watch an event with me, she had finally gotten into the game and I was so excited to watch it with her at the end we all were laughing with how bad it was, I was embarrassed to say Fortnite was my favorite game for days after that event

OG fortnite is not gonna destroy anything😂 Everyone wants the OG map. Just look at the player count when the OG map came back last year.

As someone who played during Chapter 1 I feel like it’s extremely greedy and selfish to not allow other players the opportunity to unlock and have access to old battlepass skins. I know it will be very controversial but if it happens I know for a fact it will lower down the amount of accounts being stolen and sold every day

I'm so tired of this being questioned when this is CLEARLY what the vast majority wants. Not having Ch1 Fortnite is like not having the original Super Mario Bros to play. I’m so tired of hearing these braindead takes from contrarians who have no clue what they’re talking about. Season OG literally had the highest concurrent player count Fortnite has ever had, so how does it track that bringing it back now would somehow kill the game? It makes no sense. What will kill the game is if every new season they release is complete dogshit like they have been for the entirety of chapter 5.

I feel like ch6 will be one of the best chapters ever Epic are not gonna move all their resources to OG despite the player counts and plus the ch6 skybox is leaked and it looks exactly like Fortnite because the skybox is cartoony but also realistic so Fortnite will look like itself in ch6 and Fortnite most likely dropped ch5 as a test and now Fortnite have learned from ch5 now most likely
