The Plight of South Africa’s Peculiar Peatlands – Afrikaans
South African peatlands, vital repositories of biodiversity, carbon and water, are under increasing threat from habitat degradation, climate change, and human activities. The film explores these challenges, emphasizing the need for collaborative initiatives to protect and restore these critical ecosystems.
Beyond their local ecological significance and global climate significance, South African peatlands play a pivotal role in supporting local communities by providing water resources, supporting agriculture, and contributing to the cultural and recreational fabric of the region. Recognizing and preserving this symbiotic relationship between people and peatlands is essential for a sustainable future. Furthermore, many of South Africa’s most vulnerable communities are dependent on these peatland systems for their livelihoods.

So 200 broiler eats 20 bags of feed which is R8000 then a chick is R8.50 and slaughter fee is R8 per bird. So it works out R 27 per kg of Caucasus bird

The roots are dug up, peeled, and soaked in water for a few hours. They are then chopped up. The pieces are put into a bag with heavy weights on top. After three days, the bag is opened and the cassava is spread in the sun to dry. Palm oil is added, and the cassava is roasted. Gari is ready to eat when it is crisp and dry. chop = cin-cang

Hi I am a start up and have come across some challenges in the marketing are I have come to realise the following 1. I started to late with my marketing and had to continue with feeding even after the 6 weeks 2. Branding of the product as well as the weighing of the chickens is a challenge cause now my chickens are bigger than the normal ones in the market 3. Transporting of the chickens they need special kind of transport and ventilated transport since I am in a very hot area 4. Bookkeeping is a challenge as well For me this was a expensive lesson but I don't want to be discouraged please advise on how I can do better

Chickens are not pets and there is a time frame to adhere to no matter what there are rules to adhere to 2.With my second bunch I reduced the number so I can implement my learned mistakes so this ti e around I am to stick to to the time that they are supposed to be out and not delay thereis no such thing g as a perfect product the more I delay the more I will be losing on my revenues so we continue 3.
