Hello! I would recommend watching my other video on how to write a scientific essay. Showing you’ve done wider reading involves incorporating information you’ve read in your own words to add to your essay answer. Make sure you put a reference in brackets next to the info. Do not directly copy or this is plagiarism. Hope this helps!

@@gracepountney Hi! thank you this is very helpful :) Also, does wider reading just need to be extra information that was not included in the lecture notes, as some textbooks are more advanced then others so i am not too sure what info i should include? I am not sure it this makes any sense sorry haha :)

@@sk-xj8em Hey! It’s really important to select RELEVANT information from the textbooks/journal articles that helps you ANSWER the question. Start by answering it with the lecture information then pull in up-to-date, relevant info from wider reading sources that fleshes out your argument. Hope this makes sense. (Also it’s really surprising that they expect you to use textbooks as they are usually out of date compared to journal articles from the last 5 years.)

@@gracepountney okay thank you I will do that :) We are doing 4 short answer questions upto 400 words in 1 hour, so maybe that's why we are not using journal articles, not too sure. We had a few sessions on how to answer these types of questions but they always have more info than the lecture notes which has not been taught, especially the mechanisms😅

As I say in the video they asked me about competitors of Disney i.e. who are they and about my sporting background but it was only 20 minutes and more of a chat to get to know me. I'd just recommend making sure you have a good overall knowledge of Disney in terms of their values, their business and competitors etc. Hope this helps! 😊

Thank you so much for watching 😁 In an exam, for the calculation questions, you may be asked to do all the steps for 4-5 marks, however you may be given some of the information already so you only have to finish off the calculations e.g. just use the student's t-test formula. I would 100% recommend looking at past paper questions for statistics (even if they're for different exam boards too) and having a go at them so you can see the style they are asked. Hello! No, there was no group activities apart from when we were put into break out groups to talk with the current interns. The attention to detail test involved picking out mistakes from ppt slides with data/images/text on them so I wouldn't really say there's a way to prepare for this - you just need to scan carefully and logically during the test to make sure you don't miss anything. In terms of preparing for the excel test I would recommend learning (through UA-cam/online courses) the main skills of excel e.g. formulas, tables etc. One of the interns we spoke to said she didn't do well on her excel test at all but still got the role - so although it's a factor of the assessment it isn't the be all and end all. If you're the right person for the job then they'll choose you! Hope this helps, good luck! 😄😊
