Videos and clips taken from the many trips I have taken. Some with the Go-Go Bus some without. Enjoy the view of the land less traveled and the people that reside there.
Quinet's singing Sarah
We were enjoying our supper at Quinet's in New Martinsville, West Virginia, when I noticed this lady with a beautiful smile, quietly singing to herself. She was busy helping out when I called her over to our table to tell her. I then asked if she could sing us the song she was singing, which she gladly did. Her name is Sarah. I bet you will play this more than once, and this lil' ditty will be stuck in your head.

Mom giving me a lecture

I have an uncanny ability to recall events. The books I have written are based on very few notes; most of the content is from memory. However, there is another side to me: forgetting where I put things, losing keys, leaving keys in the door lock, or having to use my second set of car keys because I can't find my other set, only to be on the road with a car honking its horn because my key is in ...

My short video of DeBence Antique Music World only encompasses a sample of what this museum has to see and enjoy. This is not just a walk-through museum but one where you can enjoy listening to the various bandboxes, player pianos and victrolas they will play for you. I was blessed to have Vince and his wife Sherry give me an after-hours tour. He is friendly and gives so much information you fe...
Ithaca New York part 8 Taughannock Falls

Taughannock Falls, at 215-foot is taller than Niagara Falls. It is the highest single-drop waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains. We accessed it from two points, one at the top of the falls and the other a trail leading to the base of the falls. Both are a must! The cliffs in the gorge in spots is 400 feet high, impressive. Hope my lack of video skills doesn't disappoint you but it gives you en...

I was not overly impressed with the Cornell University Art Museum,The Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, or simply The Johnson Museum. It is located on the northwest corner of the main campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Much of it I thought was schlock however the upper floors had true art and antique art but the most impressive thing, was Gods art. Viewing the landscape, the lake...

Fall Creek Gorge is another impressive falls in Ithaca that should not be overlooked. We accessed these falls from Lake St. a short distance from Cornell University. The Fall Creek Gorge trail will take you through different falls, Rocky Falls and Horseshoe Falls being just two of them. Impressive scenery and if you go the right time you can enjoy watching people fish and fly fish. This is anot...
Ithaca New York part 5 Treman Park

Part 5 is taken at Robert H. Treman State Park. What a park! I have been to Watkins Glen and Letchworth also in New York, this park is right up there if not more impressive. Once again little dialogue in this video, I let the scenery and falls narrate. Sorry if the camera bounces a bit. I was hiking while filming most of it. My videos are raw, un-doctored seen as I view them. Hope you enjoy the...
Ithaca New York part 4 Royal Court Restaurant
Переглядів 239 місяців тому
If you like throw backs, a flash of the past, love nostalgia the Royal Court Restaurant in Ithaca is the place. I may have been a little giddy with my narration in this video, but it brought back fond memories of family vacations when we would stay at places like Days Inn that had a restaurant attached. The decor has changed little if any since the opening back in the late 1960's. What about ou...

Arizona and Back part 10 The Conclusion
Glouster is another one horse town . Rather depressing place honestly.
thanks for the info. maybe thats a town i need to pass through
I was in Miss Lauer's class. She didn't believe someone (can't remember who it was) when he said it sounded like gunshots. Then more shots went off, we watched a ton of police cars pull up, officers getting out and running full sprint towards the gym doors, and then more shooting. She finally turned the lights off, locked the door, and told us to be quiet. You could tell she was terrified and didn't know what to do. My kids are in elementary school now and I'm scared every morning to send them to school, because you really never know where it will happen next. Every time there's another school shooting, my mind takes me right back to that classroom where all we could do was stay quiet while the shots echoed through the school. Thinking about my kids possibly experiencing something like that send chills down my spine. For anyone reading this and being curious. Mr. Grimm ended up losing his arm. He got a prosthetic not long after and it never slowed him down. Mr. Anderson made a full recovery. And Pete Christopher will never be forgotten. He was a truly amazing human being. The news anchors in this clip didn't mention this, but it's important for people to know. Pete was shot right after he pushed at least 3 kids into the side office entrance by the nurse's office to get them to safety. He died on the threshold of the door. He didn't even think twice about his own life. His first thought was getting the kids out of the line of fire. That's the kind of person he was and one of the many reasons why, after 30 years, he hasn't been forgotten.
thanks for sharing your thoughts. how sad.
R.I.P...BINO...
thank you Eddie, hope you are well.
WOW !
That Wurlitzer 153 needs restored and a better facade! A properly sounding/looking 153 should be like this. ua-cam.com/video/5YOz8Pnd29o/v-deo.htmlsi=-_2nJIIRgsj8Mxzs
Growing up in Clarion county Pennsylvania and also living in Ashtabula Ohio visiting clearing off and of course I've been through this area many times I also lived in oil City I want strength of the museum in 1989 but never actually visited it until mid-november of 1994 it was well above my expectations and above my wildest there are many businesses that I have visited in Franklin as a my favorite was being a guest at the Franklin club with a member and I would also visit a church near the courthouse there was also a museum near the courthouse or display I believe it was in the courthouse but I never actually got to see there was always so much in that area that I wanted so I've literally been to Franklin to much more than a hundred times I would often stop at a pizzeria that was connected to a bar that was one time owned by the owned by the owner of the Atlanta falcons and I went to visited Muhammad Ali's training camp was what are the places that I dream of from time to time was the I'm not sure if it was a Woolworths or Murphy's I think it may have been p oil City had a Woolworths a Murphy's in a Ben Franklin's I miss those stories they were very unique
thanks for sharing your memories
Hey next time I'm going lol
I would love it.
Absolutely Beautiful…💖
I think the falls are beautiful. I am also impressed they maintain a building so close to the falls with restrooms so people can actually spend the day. That is probably why they have a fee, for maintenance of the parking area and maintenance of the bathrooms. But this beautiful.
I said the same thing back home. We have to pay to get into the park systems back home The Golden Arboretum....LoL We paid for that already!!!!
I used to go all the time when i was in town..my aunt lived upstairs
Fun ☀️🐝♥️🌈🦋
Did you know Shawnee was where the pottery factory was back in the 1940's-1960's they are famous for making the Smiley the Pig cookie jars plus many other figurines that are worth a fortune you will only find in antique stores with the trademark Shawnee USA inscribed on the bottom. There is a published book/picture catalogue explaining the history of the company plus a price index of how much each piece is worth. These people back then were very creative and took great pride in all these magnificent pieces they created.
Thanks for your input. Ohio had many pottery makers, some are highly collectible. I myself have a few Shawnee pieces.
Subscribed. Hope to see many more videos in 2023.
thank you
You Can hear the highway in the background. That is why this is a ghost town. When a highway is built, no one has to come through town.especially if there is no exit at the town.
if there is nothing there is nothing
TO SEE OR NOT TO SEE
Lived A Few Blocks From The "West". I Can Remember Going There From The Late 50's - The Ceiling Looks The Same As It Did Then. Many Saturday Or Sunday Afternoons There. Admission Was Twenty-Five Cents And Popcorn Fifteen Cents.
I love when people post their memories, thank you!
Can someone please help that beautiful black and white cat on the sidewalk?
I was thinking the same.
Too much moving the camera around....Dizzying
neat store and video... lets go there soon
I'm not why UA-cam suggested this video but I thoroughly enjoyed it!
thank you for watching and your comment
He's a great teacher, and I'd loved to see that big bucket and go inside it
That guy in the video tried to pay me 5 dollars to take my son there to compete in a private bodybuilding contest. I needed the money so I accepted. When I got there it was just him and a small little person. At first I thought it was my sons competition but when i realized he smelled like ciggarettes i realized it was a little person not an actual child. There was baby oil everywhere. I decided to take my son and leave. He got enraged and wanted his $5 back. I refused because we drove all the way up there.
Strange indeed.
This was tremendously interesting. I don't know how I missed the Hulett bucket when I was there a few weeks ago, but the video tour is a good substitute.
Thank you for watching, appreciate your feedback.
I was there in 6th grade in study hall when I heard shots I’m the only student that evacuated the building and make it home on my bike at wickliffe middle school 1994
I was in that study hall and we hunkered down where the lunch line is. I don’t really remember anything after that just sitting in the ground then my mind goes blank.
This guy is going to make sure DeWine is back in office. Thanks a lot. Narcissist much?
Would you say the same thing about Renacci?
This is amazing!
So much for them making all 4 of the Huletts ' LISTED HISTORIC MACHINERY' then cutting them all up and just saving that one bucket. The said they would set up one fully working! More politician lies :((
My 5th Great-Grandfather founded Sherman, in 1830s.

You can thank the feds for enacting all the loopholes that allows all the greedy CEOs to take advantage of skimming money and sending all manufacturing to china. It wont be too much longer before what you see here is common and soon after the USA ceases to exist. FACT
@@jessewoody5772 Enjoy your big screen TV, Jesse. America allowed this to happen, should have supported the American worker.
I lived in corning for 26 years just 7 miles away and yes it's small too
Bob and Dave Hannah are good guys, good people. I knew them in the mid to late 90's.
Good video Carey!
thank you
Lived my childhood there, drive down there maybe 3 times a year to visit family graves and look up what few friends that are still living and spend the day talking about shit that we did when we were very young. Would luv to move back but housing is sky high since the raystown resort was built. I luv small towns...oh well maybe some day.
Thanks for the comment. By chance did your house appear in the video?
It's the rail car wheel flange scraping on the rail.
Or it is a chemical spill that turned an ordinary cicada into a killer size monster. I like my theory better.
thanks for the explanation
Lovely place
I subscribed to your channel. Can you subscribe to mine?
just did, thanks for bringing it to my attention
Sir, Trump is for coal, with all due respect!!!!!!
Thank you for your input.
Trump said he was for coal and then did nothing to help the industry (no govt interference, he let the free market dictate coal industry). Look how many coal companies filed for bankruptcy during his time in office. That said, coal demand has continued to fall due to cheap natural gas in our area, along with steel mills transitioning to different production processes (such as electric arc furnaces that melt scrap and blast furnaces using more hot briquette iron pellets, which requires less coal). Good video on the harbor’s history though. Industrialism of our nation sure was an interesting time. I’m proud to still work at an integrated steel mill in Cleveland. Starting with raw materials and ending up with world class steel.
Trump says anything to try to get votes .he does not care about coal miners or anyone .He is only concerned with his delusion
Another one of these total gd redarts that listen to what a politician SAYS. And never watch what they actually DO
He asked, "What's going to be replacing coal, if we're getting rid of it"? The answer is NOTHING!!!! There is nothing we have now, or in the near future, that will even come close to coal. These leftist have got to realize there is nothing. No wind, water, gases or solar will make a large enough dent. Coal is here to stay, period!!!!!!
We just left Shawnee and was told they Are restoring a lot of buildings and making a restaurant to Open early next year Also the theatre is being restored
Great news
Brrr
