Could have a vacuum leak wher manifold bolts to engine or at carb mounting gasket. May need the carb cleaned and rebuilt I am working on a video rebuilding an original carburetor off an 8n. I'll let you know when I post that video. Thanks

I used part number 70050-93800 the only cylinder it may not fit is for the swing of the boom. I replaced seals on 1 out rigger and 2 on the boom. Thanks

What's the part number for seal kit? Is it the same seal kit for outriggers as well?

I used hydro gear 52114 filters and a 5 quart jug of mobil 1 15w 50 oil. Thanks

If I had power in and out of the switch I would have checked the power where the clutch plugs in. I follow the flow of 12 volt power and ground till I find a loss of power or a bad clutch. I picked up a Toro like that recently and it would not charge much. I replaced the fuse, but it could be the fuse holder. Sometimes adding washers to the starter to separate it more from the case helps the electric start. Thanks for the tips

It use to be 1/4” past TDC but the new manuals don’t say 1/4” past TDC anymore. 👍🏻

I got 0ne of these gave to me somebody pour gas in the oil I drained and flushed the engine with mercron v changed oil and filter that was a success. Then I went to drive it and no movement forward or reverse then I watched this video added fluid nothing so I lifted one side of the mower turned the back wheel and heard a click and pop. Got on and she took off so thanks for the info.

You and one other person and I guess my own stubbornness are responsible for helping me get my wheeler running again. Everywhere else was telling me to buy a new machine, but I’m not a throwaway kind of guy.

For me, what was the most helpful was the 2 3/4 turns on the carb, mine was more of set at 2.5 to idle correctly.

How long will it take to replace oil tank

Thank you. The mechanics at Gravely couldn't tell me how I could get all of the oil drained from my system (2007 unit) because the one filter I have sits higher than the gear boxes by each tire. Now I know - you don't get all of the oil. Appreciated

I always put the nuts n bolts back together after removing. Also reinstall bolts during teardown when ever possible. Helps if someone else has to put that puzzle back together.

Nice work fixing that Gravely ZT and a good description of what caused the belt failure and I like your attention to detail during the repair! You thinking the belt failures caused the destruction of the two hydro fans? Is having these hydro fans replaced soon important? I guess waiting a bit to make sure the belt fix holds up first is wise, since if the your new belt was to fail it would most likely take out the fans again. Thanks.
