Methanol will help only if you lack fuel. You can use pure water and tune the ECU (ignition advance and less fuel / closer to 14:1. Instead of 12.8-13:1 / - since water will provide the cooling) for max torque, that will give you few ponies more. You need aprox 20% of fuel as water. Or if you build a high compression engine you can gain even more. You can take a look at David Vizard - water injection video.. He sums it up very well.

Low down torque makes a decent difference to traction; you'll be surprised with it even with larger turbo (and LSD?)

@@frogsta360 True! I don't think I want to go bigger turbo yet. Maybe in time. LSD would be nice, it can be a bit scary without it. The tyres are very skinny still on the 245 profile though.

@@Niko-xz5lk yeah fair, my partner has a stage 2 m235i and even off the lights in first she has no traction issues, which I'd attribute to the LSD mostly. Good tyres help heaps as well, more than profile imo

@@frogsta360 I got the Pilot Sport 5 on the there because it's all they had at the time. Not ideal to be honest. Need an ultra high performance tyre like PS4S or Eagle F1 SS. I'm hearing mixed things about whether I can go 255 on the back of mine or not, some say the rims are too skinny, some say they're OK on 255. This with a grippier tyre would definitely help. At the moment I can brake traction way too easily. The rears can brake traction at 80mph in the wet if you gun it too quickly, it's kind of insane. LSD would definitely be worth getting too, although I want to go brake upgrade next.

You dont, you wont gain anything without being boosted. My advice from my years building cars is wait until you can buy something that has the support to be modded and is meant for it. A camry is an economy car and not meant to be anything else. Get something that can handle the power

@@voxnova9471 I know milling, I know mods, anything 3s, 5s, 3rz 2.7L, you have the rally platform as far as I'm an engineer student and I'm concerned. I can go na, I know I'll get somewhere around 250-280torque, nos and meth, compression turned up. small centrifugal supercharger is what I know I'll end up with 400+. The automatic in those things is especially underbuilt and can tackle 500 torque with proper cooling valvebody mods and valves seals shafts so on. It's like the Ford panther platform, modular, you can do anything to it and it will last practically forever, able to be remachined and modified over and over and still be a 300+ hp power plant practically forever. You need to know your metallurgy, your thermals to really understand how this stuff works. Not just Toyota selling you the idea that you're ecobox will forever be one when they are lying ....... like what your doing lying with truth that isn't truth no matter where you got that idea from. so the govt never allows race parts for every car or ever only for people with money essentially dog ... pause before you post.. budget horsepower, low MSRP for power is the goal. Not spending any more than I need to get "upgrades" that have been around a long time in the engine world people already done to their engines in other countries.

@@ItsPainnz i have no issues with custom fab ive done plenty on my own, i am also an engineering graduate but that aside you cant ignore chassis stiffness and drivetrain, the chassis will always be looser than something designed to be a sports chassis. With the amount of money youll pay for brakes, lsd, bracing, and materials for custom fab you couldve easily bought a car that performs out of the box way better and can take the upgrades better so you get more reward out of it
