I did some major renovations to my Hot Wheels drag strip. Narrowed up the benchwork, widened the slope and moved the track to the middle. I also completed my prototype Arduino Timing system, removed the blue joiner buttons in the track and lengthened the run.

Track Improvements at Zamak Dragway

Improving the track joints by cutting out the stock joiner system. I cut the ends off with a chop saw and fine tooth blade. Cutting the tracks in pairs assures equal length. I then modified the blue joiners to remove the buttons and keep them from pushing up the middle of the track.

Nice! F40's are always a great car on the track. Hard to beat a fast one. I just ran one of mine with the lace wheels and it had not been down the track in a few months, it beat a car I have been working on for a couple weeks by half a second :/

Flea Markets are the best! I am sooooooo jealous over that Gulf livery Nova. Nice one! I have had some good luck at a nearby antique store. Sometimes there are some good finds for cheap in places like that.

I don't do much with graphite, but i will say that i have been able to make some of my garage sale finds quite a bit more competitive by applying a little dust. Also salvaged one or two from the sandbox surprisingly well. So it might be neat to grab some graphite and experiment with some of your more played with ferraris to see if there is any speed to be recovered.
@@RoughdiamondRacer I’ve just started dusting a few for mail-in races. From what I’ve seen you would right. Would definitely help the older played with cars. I’ve been running cars from my collection looking for natural speed. And those will get the graphite treatment for sure!

The Mopar is always nice....the Evo is always a keeper, it's a car that does well in both worlds, dragracing and road course.....gr8 mod car too.....that red mustang has good front wheels, usually.... 300s are nice, especially the FTEs and being wheel version.... The Superman boulevard bruiser is probably the fastest car in that lot Good haul
