Best Game I’ve ever played

I like the story telling and the way lore is presented in pieces of one gigantic sometimes even indescribable puzzle in souls games the most because it isn't a story that's being told to you like in a movie through cutscenes, dialogue that explains things etc. It's a story and lore you EXPERIENCE, you are as clueless as your own character when you come into the lands between. It actually feels like traveling to a different, strange and beautiful yet terrifying world that is on the brink of fully collapsing, and no one is gonna just come up to you and explain what happened. You need to find it out yourself by actually exploring, piecing together small clues of one grand chain of events that left the world it is now. I think that is extremely beautiful and what makes souls games so very interesting and fascinating to this day. It's not just entertainment, it's art and art always has to be experienced not consumed. A lot of people don't get it and want something easier that takes less effort and that's fine. But it's worth every single thought you put into understanding the lore trust me. This is by far one of the best games of all time even though there's so much unfinished stuff that's missing or has been cut short. I'm glad I've been a souls addict since a kid because they gave me much more than just entertainment and joy, they taught me to never give up no matter the circumstance and how to battle my own abyss

I OFTEN wander, sometimes even race back here to this video. Be it last week, today, Spring, Winter Summer or Fall, invokes chills of frisson which begin to weave magically as if to suggest we've forgotten this dance a hundred times over, and over. Ranni's quest gives you so much opportunity to attach yourself to any npc you'll encounter. All of them have a different story, a different personality but in fact, all of them become your friend. However, the goodbye is... constantly heartbreaking...

We fans have no need to prove the game's worth to anyone. I remember sitting in my house playing with my toys, fighting dragons and wondering if there will ever be a day. Because of the blood sweat and tears of these devs, we have it in our hands. As a nerd, probably for life, thank you fromsoft.

It's sad that when I finally stop playing elden ring I'm a off all the NPCs I can so that we all can finally rest

I am VERY late to the party. I just started ER last week. I have this to say: I've been gaming since Pong (Literally). I've played all types of open world games, story driven games, indi, large studio, you name it. This is, without a doubt, the single best experience I have ever been a part of when it comes to gaming. This isn't even a ''game'' as we generally use the term, this is an absolute EXPERIENCE that everyone needs to take part in. Never has a game enthralled me so much. Never has a ''game'' given me goose bumps, never has a game driven me to the point of, I HAVE TO SEE WHAT IS NEXT than ER does. I cannot wait to get even more deeper into it. Thank you for this. It was a great video AND, I learned my Jelly Fish has a quest! :)

Best game of all time.

I keep coming back to this video, it makes me remember the first time I played through this game with my roommate Rod, I always think back on how we got our asses kicked time and time again but laughed everytime and tried again. Ive never played a game that made me nostalgic for something that happened so recently, this game will always be in my memory when I finally put it down for the last time.

Even though I am still actively trying to beat the game, this edit gives me more confidence that I can actually do it, so thank you!

Elden rings story, like all fromsoft games requires you to engage yourself to even find it. But every characters story is worth experiencing, and I’ll remember every one of them. It was truly a spectacular adventure.
