Best Napa Valley Things To Do - Grape Stomping at Conn Creek Winery - Grape Stomping Lady
If you are looking for one of the BEST Napa Valley things to do then you've found it! Grape stomping at Conn Creek Winery is probably one of (if not THE) best Napa Valley things to do! But, this Grape stomping event at Conn Creek Winery only happens once a year and is limited to only a small number of people... which also makes it extremely exclusive too!
Conn Creek winery is located in St. Helena, about a 20 minute drive north from the City of Napa on the renowned Silverado Trail. Specializing in cabernet sauvignon, their wines are truly some of the most complex and distinct you'll find in the whole Valley!
Conn Creek was founded in 1973 and immediately established itself as one of Napa Valley’s premier Cabernet houses with the release of its 1974 Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Since then Conn Creek offers ten diffferent Cabernet Sauvignon wines, some of which are from their flagship label, Anthology.
The name of the winery comes from its location, next to Conn Creek in the Rutherford district. More than forty years after its founding, Conn Creek is still focused on crafting the highest quality Cabernet Sauvignon. Conn Creek‘s expertise is derived from its unique sourcing, as one of the only wineries to source Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from nearly all of the Napa Valley’s distinct appellations.
Conn Creek has received international acclaim for its one-of-a-kind education intensive Barrel Blending Experience®. Guests are invited to taste Cabernet Sauvignon from nearly all of Napa Valley’s appellations, from Calistoga to Carneros, before becoming “winemaker for a day” and blending their own bottle to take home. The Barrel Blending Experience® is the first stop for any Napa visitor, whether novice or aficionado, providing an immersive tasting experience that will inform the remainder of any visit to the Valley.
While this Grape Stomping event is one of the best Napa Valley things to do, Conn Creek winery is the ONLY location where it is open to the public in the entire Napa Valley - there is one more, but you have to be a member to participate in their grape stomping.
As one grape stomping lady mentioned during my interview with her, it's a once in a lifetime experience... but, having experienced it myself, I think it's something I'll definitely want to do again!
If you would like more information about the grape stomping event at Conn Creek winery, you can reach them at (707) 963-9100 every day from 10 am - 4 pm or visit their website at conncreekwinery.com.
Of course, there HAD to be a celebrity there to show everyone how grape stomping is done, and Lucille Ball was the perfect person for the job! Lucy was performed by Camille Larrea, a celebrity impersonator for over twenty years - performing celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Joan Rivers, Cher, Liza Minnelli, Judy Garland, Carmen Miranda, Lucille Ball, Charo, Norma Desmond, Elvira, Dolly Parton, Sarah Palin, and many more!
If you are looking for a celebrity performer for your next event, feel free to give Camille a call at (925) 353-0289 or visit www.celebrityacts.com.
September is probably the best month of the entire year to visit Napa, with the kids being back in school, the warm weather and the leaves just starting to turn color... the scenery is even more breathtaking than usual! So, if you decide to come to Napa during this month, make sure to check in with Conn Creek and plan your trip around their next Great Grape Stomp event - you won't be disappointed!

No Don Giovani’s?
I like Monticello Park and Congress Valley
Charlie Parkers, Trancas Steakhouse, Taqueria Maria, Genova Deli,
Thank you!❤😊😊
Hello suzanne , could you please share some details regarding apartments for rent in napa . Because i will be coming as a trainee in carneros resort and spa . So i want to find accommodation there . I will be very thankful for your time and consideration. Regards.
Why don’t they just make a current video?
Unaffordable even on a salary of over $90k.
Too expensive. It’s ridiculously over priced just like the rest of the Bay Area.
I'll agree it is expensive compared to other areas in the Country, but Napa is also not like other areas; it is a world-renowned destination for wine lovers and foodies alike. It's like comparing apples to oranges. it's unrealistic to compare Napa with other places.
😂😂😂😂😂
I do not recommend nappa valley restaurants! Do not frequent nappa valley restaurants.
Manmit
Where would we be without our Napa Valley wines on our Hawaii and French Polynesian Norwegien cruise and you serving them to us?! 🥰
Wats in dregen now???????
Omg Where Can l Flnd That lT Now!!!!!!😱😱😱😱
OMG WHERE CAN I FIND THAT I NEED IT NOW!!
Amqzing
Woahh
I heard on Ellen Degeneres show about a restaurant in a cave in Napa do you know the name of it?
Try Pine Ridge winery!!
Love this amazing investment opportunity! The garage conversion is what sold me!!
😅 ░p░r░o░m░o░s░m░
I understand the secret now! Choose your dentists wisely. 🦷
Hahahaha. You’re 💯% right! 🤣
Grew up in Browns Valley, 0:28 is my old neighborhood, three houses down from me 🤣
Grew up in Napa… Cons #1 & 3 are totally valid but #2 is BS because the wildfires had nothing to do with climate change.
great video & choice of restaurants! thank you
Of course! I’ll be creating a new list soon - will be interesting to see which ones remain and which ones get replaced this year!
Thank you for your presentation of the best restaurants in the Napa Valley. You’re are attractive and gorgeous, I will visit and dine while I’m living in the valley…. wish we can have lunch or brunch together or just to say HI 🌹
Thank you so so much for this video. We finally figured out where to go for dinner for during our trip.
Yay! Which one did you decide upon?!
@@NapaValleyCalifornia We did Charlie Palmer, Morimoto, and we’re on the way to RH Yountville!
@@user-gc5ft9dl7u Oh you’ll be taking loads of pictures at RH! The inside and outside is just gorgeous and their burger?! The BEST burger in the world (you must get the pork belly with it)!
Six60 are a huge band from nz soon they’ll become bigger in the us
I hope they make it to the list this coming year! What kind of music do they sing?
How did Bistro Don Giovanni get left off your list? La Toque and Morimoto are both trash by the way. They require proof of medical experimentation to dine with them. Fascists should not be supported under any circumstances.
How did a lot of fine dining establishments get left off my list? Because my list only contains 10 restaurants and there’s hundreds to choose from. I also don’t take into consideration their need for vaccination proof, this video content was based on the food.
Beautiful. Are a dream. Love your blogs.
Muivonito..napa..californi..muncha..uva
You got prop 47 and Bottle Rock, scanners will be busy
Why did the chili peppers drop out?
Probably a conflict of schedules?
What a beautiful B&B, lovely owner and I especially like the no kids or pets rule. Nice to enjoy some peace while traveling. 😊
Awesome. I grew up in Browns valley. My childhood was a mix of goodies and stand by me. Lol.
Thanks for watching! Did you mean Goonies by chance?! Either way, Browns Valley is a fantastic place to grow up!
My husband and I will be in Sonoma mid November, can you do video of small, locally owned restaurants.
Hi Ana! An early welcome to wine country!! I actually specialize in Napa - Sonoma is the county to the left of us - and FULL of great spots for eating and drinking too. I’d be happy to take a stab at a video of Amal, locally owned restaurants in Napa is you are coming this way!
I was just in Napa last month and had a great experience at Celadon. Delicious food and beautiful property and location. Check them up on Yelp.
@@edsanchez5894 I could have easily added Celadon to this list! But then, I could have made this the Best 100 Napa restaurants! So glad you enjoyed your time here. 😊
I love the downtown area here in Napa and we’re seeing quite a few (but never enough) new homes being built downtown (townhomes, actually). Have any questions about this video? Let me know! Suzanne
I just heard that Stevie Nicks cancelled her performance due to C.V.
That’s right. Chris Stapleton is taking her place.
And now Chris Stapleton is not playing due to "illness". Definitely a LOT of unhappy country fans getting that notice 3 hours before he was due to go live...
dominic fike for sure!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾 day 2! question first time attending this festival, are the smaller acts performing on different stages?
Smaller acts on playing on the smaller stages - make sure to download the app!
I'm headed to archer hotel for I need some great to take my wife birthday dinner after wine train
Hi Dee! So the Archer Hotel actually has a restaurant inside that’s amazing - Charlie Palmer Steak so for convenience (and since you’ll have been drinking and finding an Uber / Lyft is impossible in Downtown Napa) that is what I’d recommend. They also have a gorgeous rooftop deck with bar called Sky and Vine that’s got good apps and cocktails and a view of the Valley that’s hard to come by anywhere else downtown. Oh and make sure you bring your swimsuits so you can lounge in the rooftop pool too! Enjoy!
Thank you so do you think I need to rent a car
@@deejackson5548 either a car or ebike (depending on how adventurous you are!) but I never suggest relying on Uber/lyft. Too many times we have been stuck and missed reservations because the lack of them available. Check out my other video “The Only Way To Do Napa” if you’re interested in ebike rentals (Fat Tire Bike Rentals) - MUCH cheaper than renting a car and so much more fun!!
Looking for a delicious seafood restaurant
Hi Penny! Great question! Here's a few that I would recommend depending on how far you want to drive and how much you want to spend... 1. The Dead Fish www.thedeadfish.com - about 40 mins south of Napa (just south of Vallejo) - definitely my number one pick! 2. Zuzu www.zuzunapa.com - on Main St in Downtown Napa - good selection and expected pricing for the area. 3. Torc www.torcnapa.com - also in Downtown with a good selection and a HUGE wine list! 4. Coqueta www.coquetanv.com - Located up in Yountville, not quite a seafood restaurant but I had to include it because they have the BEST paella I've ever had - Paella Mar y Montaña, Hope this helps!!! Let me know where you ended up going! 😎
If you would like more information on Browns Valley, please check out my exclusive report, updated daily here: bit.ly/BrownsValleyNapa or call me at 707.210.5500. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have!
(P.S. You know when this was recorded by the COVID bandage on my arm!)
I live down the road from it and I'm mainly excited for the Headliners having Foo Fighter's return but also having Stevie Nicks and Guns n' Roses ahhh I am so excited. I went a few years back and saw Tom Petty and I loved it!
Oh wow! So awesome you got to see Tom Petty before he passed away. I kick myself so often that I never saw The Cranberries... was my next concert to attend. Guns n’ Roses will be epic for sure!
Who are you most looking forward to seeing live at Bottlerock Napa Valley!? Let me (and others) know below!
For me? Definitely Miley Cyrus!!
G eazy and Meg
miley / stevie
love the intro!
Considering relocating or buying a second home in Napa? Excellent idea! Let me know how I can help you as I know it can be daunting trying to determine not only if it's the right choice but where exactly in the Valley is the perfect place for you!
Hello suzanne, could you please help me in finding apartments near carneros resort and spa . I will be coming as a trainee. Also please share some of the apartments and the commute facility over there . Thank you Regards
There’s so many restaurants to choose from! I really like Oenotri in Downtown Napa and also Napa Noodles. Their Tokyo ramen is the best this side of the Pacific ocean!
Was your favorite restaurant on my list? If not, what’s your all time favorite?!
Do you own a business in Napa? We would love to help promote you and your business too! Leave a comment below and the best way to reach you and we will be in touch as soon as we read it!
Is there Restuarant near this bed&breakfast place?
@@lifepath6187 Absolutely!! There’s literally dozens of amazing restaurants within about a 5 minute drive (or e-bike ride - check out my other video on this!) in Downtown Napa. Any particular cuisine you’re interested in? Happy to make suggestions!
