I'm so sick of not paying good players and keeping the mediocre ones. I can't take another year of Luke Biasi, I just can't. And he's just one player of a few that really annoy me. Like Walti is so limited I feel. Robbie Mertz can't consistently deliver the final ball. Forbes should just retire. For being a FK specialist these days, he can't even get it past the first man. Etou's strength is just running straight and not much else. Hogan is a physical presence but man is he easy to run past. Our best player, Jacquesson, isn't even our player. There's probably more but that's just what comes to mind. And tbh it's not the players' fault. It's Bob's for putting them in this position. And perhaps Tuffy is just too cheap. We deserve a better calibre of player than we've been getting. We picked up other team's cast aways and make them into something. Well I'm sick of it. You can't do that for a whole team and expect it to work. And finally, can we get out of fucking 5 back for once!?!?!?! These players have probably played 433 and 442 and 4231 their whole lives. I think they could play that way just fine. Why does Bob insist on three CBs always!?!?!? Even when you're chasing a game!!! It's just so frustrating. Living in his fears. IMO he has one year to reach the conference championship or I'm cutting bait!!!!!

My main thought going into this game is that if we can’t beat El Paso, our odds of winning the playoffs look bleak. As far as scoring, I would rather have many players who can score rather than depending on one (comparing this year to last year) and I think part of the challenges we faced was that our attacks all focused on one player, and Detroit had 2 weeks and a “scrimmage” to practice tying up that player. This year, I’d say at any given time on the pitch we have 2-3 focuses for our attacks, which makes it harder to defend against.

As a Phoenix Rising season ticket holder, I was devastated when Eric Dick left us at the end of 2020 (and we only played him for like 2 matches). The Riverhounds are my eastern conference team so I was very excited when they signed him and started following this pod this season because I was intrigued to see what y’all would think of him. Couldn’t have expected his season to go like this but I’m so happy he’s finally getting playing time and recognition from fans. It’s also crazy how close Rising and the Riverhounds’ seasons have paralleled each other this year. Definitely wouldn’t have expected it but I’ve been loving listening to this pod and seeing your takes on the season.

I fall 100% in Justin's camp with this. They're playing well, it's very rare that they're noticeably outplayed. The issue this season has been creating goal scoring chances for the forwards, and midfielders not taking the chances that they get. I don't think major changes need to happen. This is a much better team than the table indicates, we just haven't had much luck this season.

Those subs were definitely waiting to come in before that goal was scored. It's hard for me to be too upset about this result. The weather was brutal, the field was crap and Tampa has a bunch of great attackers. This game was always going to be the most likely loss at this point in the season.

He is such a good guy. We're very lucky to have him in the organization. Watching him interact with fans, especially kids, after the games is amazing. He has a way of connecting to everyone he talks to that is really cool to watch.

I think he's our most important midfielder. The ground he covers, the passing lanes he steps into, and his incisive passing in the final third. Absolutely love this kid.
