Restoring a Handplane
Переглядів 98Місяць тому
In this video I show how I restore a Stanley Bailey No.4 hand plane from rusty and old into a shiny, sharp and usable hand tool, ready for some future woodworking and DIY projects!
Amazing brother!!
What type of wood is it? Looks great!
It’s Yew wood, thanks!
How did you drill the right angel for the main handel screw?
I used the old handle to line up and mark where the hole was on the top and bottom before I started cutting too much away. Then drilled through from both ends to try and make sure they lined up in the middle. Hope that helps.
Really informative & the graphics help to make the points 😎 fab work again
Nice that you didn’t gloss over the mistakes. Good honest video and the result looks great.
Another cracking video.
Very nice restoration video and the production quality is very good. Keep it up!
Thanks for your kind words!
Brilliant video. Informative and a great overview of the process
