Like how Ed talks about getting back their bodies, if Al is their he'll talk about doing it for both, but if Al isnt there, Ed says Al's body, never both. Ed doesnt care about getting his body back, his arm and his leg are prices he was more than willing to pay. But he will get Al's body back. Thats what his goal is, but he knows he cant tell Al because he knows that if Al knows Ed is suffering for his sake it'll hurt him.
