Are you concerned about the thin strap breaking at some point?

I just got the last piece in Malaysia in the traditional brown and used it to go to Shanghai. It held everything I needed it to hold, looked amazing - the compartment and the drawstring system is so functional too. The handle also loops onto my Tumi carry-on. My only gripe is the laptop compartment is a bit sticky with my slightly larger laptop. No regrets in buying it and will be using it a lot.

Game is the game, if this lawsuit sticks then its going to change the dynamic of the whole luxury industry. If a product is going to be limited i think its fair enough that the brand wants their top clients to represent it properly.

Maybe I just don't get fashion or something, but wtf happened to walking away with your head held high in dignity & saying “I'm taking my money elsewhere”? So this company practically blackmailed/coerced consumers into some form of “loyalty”, but why give them the satisfaction of having this level of “in-demand” validation ? If anyone benefits from this lawsuit in the long run, it's Hermèsʼ notoriety, just imagine how this story would add to their company's lore: “in 2024 two litigious Californians with too much money to blow sued the company because they wanted the Birkin/Kelly/whatever REALLY, REALLY BAD.” What level of consumerism is suing a brand for not being allowed to buy their product even? It's not healthcare or a basic human right. And then what happens when/if Hermès bows down & starts mass producing to meet demands? Just the clownery of it all. But I'm just a layperson from outside the fashion industry so what do I know?
