For clarification, SB-721 was amended to allow contractors who inspect balconies to also perform the repairs. I disagree with this amendment, as I pointed out in the video. It leaves the door wide open for contractors to open new construction companies or divisions of their companies to generate construction work via balcony inspections. No, not all contractors are dishonest, but the CSLB has had several complaints already about high-pressure sales to do unnecessary construction work on balconies to generate construction income. Several new "balcony inspection" companies have emerged in the recent months, and will likely continue to emerge as the inspection deadline approaches in January of 2025. Why did you decide to go with this over the new one ?

There is certainly educational value in some of these pictures of you took the time to explain the defects. The way you use some of these pictures of people's personal belongings for shock value and video clicks is unethical though. My licensing board would take issue with many of these.

Great video, please mention that any filter material that you use for this needs to be Merv 13+ which is equal to a 3M filtration 1900 or higher. Also note the 3M Filtrate and system is not fiberglass! Also get a big as you can filter for this like 20 x 20 or 24 by whatever you can make it that you’ll get more material out of the filter. I know that because I’ve done it. One more note is the fabric is designed to go one way pay attention to which way is towards you and put the arrow towards your body. mark the material every time you cut it so that way you know which way it goes towards you

If you have any doubts - then contact the manufacturers directly and ask them whether they would recommend their products to be used in this way. I can't quantify the exact risk for you or anyone else from directly inhaling through HEPA materials, but given that we know that the majority of people have a mild-moderate illness - is it really worthwhile pursuing this avenue when there can be long-term consequences and the desired filtration effects are very uncertain?
