Why do some have such a passionate opinion about “tip-down” carry? It’s my preferred carry with the PM2 and Para3. Drawing it from the pocket, indexing the spine and deploying it with a wrist flip while pinching the blade-hole is the handiest for most utility applications imo. ymmv

Oh brother, that is tough. It's just been a few years since my mom passed, I can feel something of what you are going through. Your mom was a tough and wonderful woman. Thanks for sharing a bit about her with us. Northern Manitoba is a tough place, I cannot imagine how tough her work was in The Pas. I never lived there but I have lived in Lynn Lake and Thompson for the better part of a decade. I've had a few twofers, but a threefer... wow. The station at the T intersection of the 6 and 39 up there is called Ponton. Stopped there many times. (It looks like, from Google maps) the current owners are now calling it Tree Suns JCT).

Definitely a co-worker knife. I've heard some of the guys state that they primarily buy -cheap- er, _inexpensive_ knives because they don't want to lose something more expensive. Sounds like an incentive to keep better track of their belongings to me, but what do I know?

the saw from the wave plus will fit the surge if you remove the serrated blade it will go there. It is just a little loose but you could work on that if you wanted. I removed the serrated blade on my surge and changed it for the wave plus saw blade and also ground down a metal t shank blade and put it with the saw blade, so I have a file, wood saw, and metal blade on my surge at all times

Kershaw makes a surprisingly decent knife like this. A guy i used to work with carried one (outside his waistband...) literally every day.

I tried taking mine apart - you are right, the screws are super soft and have threadlocker so they got stripped heads = no complete teardown.😡 Perhaps the best thing about them is they come in the clamshell package where you can see the lockup position, so I suggest that guys don't just grab the first one on the rack, check the lockup on them all and grab the one that doesn't have such late lockup.

Yeah watches are like knives .. They seem to miltiple like rabbits .. The apple watch watch is actually a decent “beater” watch IMO … I save the other 12-15 watches for weekends or non work wear. Enjoy the watch !

l wear those gloves constantly at work. The trick is to wear a size smaller so, l buy a box medium instead of large. A snug fitting glove makes it easier picking up real small items and there is no extra material to get caught up and torn. Cool looking watch but it’s too complicated for this old guy. A smaller, lighter 24hr dial works better for me.

Almost at 2,000 subs Big Canucker! Olight customer service was great to deal with. They replaced my i5R in a couple of weeks. The quick charger is a good idea. Nice to have a back up power source :)

The k2 is low 60s, 62-63 from what I've seen. Ive personally tested 3 and all of them were dead on 63. I assume the dude you were talking about is Phil Wilson. He runs his 10v super hard. The k2 and (especially) the kizer aren't really any comparison.

That "Southard clone" is actually a Domino clone. Edit: those steel Shiro clones were ~$15 when they were around.

l worked outside for many years and l need my pen to work. The ink in Fisher Space pens is pressurized and does not freeze! So thats what l’ve stuck with over the years.

melon farmer?? LOL That plunge looks pretty square to the edge and with an abrupt plunge it looks like it wouldn't be too hard to sharpen it cleanly even without a sharpener's choil. Since you might never sell it, how about a giveaway to me? jk LOL
