Well you got onions 🧅. Thanks for sharing 💚
At least you got onions I hope my seeds I planted come in soon
For those metal pots: would putting a strip of wax paper down the sides and across the bottom or similair help release the grown seedling. Bummer about the fold over at that price. What if you ran a butter knife around the edge pushing in.....could that help? I quite love those silicone bottom seed starting trays from Burpee. Plants push out sooooo well. Ball makes an aluminum reusable "solo" cup, that might be an alternative for seed starting. Only problem I see with them is, they are big, so loads of soil. I do like the clear plastic, so you can see what's going on. Right now I'm thinking I'll need to restart my onion seeds as I skipped the boiling water and now have a fungus on top. The stored seed starter smelled musty so I should have bought new....but I was in a hurry.
@RobinGardens Thank you for all the advice!, I'm leaning towards the extra effort of a butter knife or small putty knife... I'll look into Ball too. That's a bummer on the onions. Start a fresh batch but I would hold and see how the first ones do in the funky soil.
@@JoyoftheGardenandHome Agree too early to call it quits. But I'm not holding out too much hope.😒
They need water 😋
hi joy 🤗 i saw the steam as soon as you opened the bin - a sign of good, active compost. i have a compost bin stand and am doing more of a cold compost process because it's a challenge for me to turn the contents. i really like the large garden space that you have. even through the cold weather, you have a good amount of plants that made it. can't wait for the weather to warm up in your area and see what you decide to grow this year. tfs
Hey Joy! Happy New Year! The winter garden is the winter garden. We win some and we lose some. 😜 Overall, looking great!❤
Definitely more loss in my winter. I see you'll be getting more ❄️ Enjoy and stay safe
Hello Joy Happy new year 2025❤ lovely garden +1❤ full support my friend 8:58
Happy New Year
I’ll be starting germinating soon in my basement!
I recently started with house plants. I bought a mass cane plant at about 1.5ft tall from Home Depot. I did research afterwards and saw that they sell 5ft tall ones. Would these short ones reach that height?
@xavior718 oh yes. Mine are that tall, several decades old and not well taken care of.
Rascally rabbits!
That looks like a good pup you got there.
@@cdnelson7291 time will tell
Nice 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎵🎶
Happy New Year, new to your channel.
@@cdnelson7291 welcome
Happy New Year 🎉 it's looking good out there, TFS!
HNY! Thank you
Happy New Year. You have a lot of things that look like they will jump back to life in the spring. Do you do any cold frame growing in the winter?
No cold frame, but I always have dreams of making one 😁
@@JoyoftheGardenandHome You're milder than we are here in 5b, so I think you could harvest all winter......spinach, arugula and spring onions.
@@RobinGardens in theory Yes! Slugs kept taking out my spinach seed(lings)😒Arugula, I'd rather just sprout...
Happy New Year 🎊🎆🎉🎇 "Feeding" the compost bin is what I do at this time of the year as well. Looking forward to all the nice soil that we will have in spring when it's time to plant 🌱 tomatoes, potatoes etc.
@gardentours Happy New Year🥰
Happy New Year!
@@RobinGardens Happy New Year!
How many seeds do you put in the jar? 1/4 Teaspoon, more?
I use a medicine cup for about 20mil, more than a Tbsp
Those look good!
And happy holidays! happy hannuka! (not Jewish just like to celebrate the miracle) 🎉
@@dshannon1038 😆 Merry Holidays
I'm totally looking up these books on ebay right now. Great recommendations!
I hope you can get together a quartet, BJ. That sounds exciting!
Tarnished 😂 I'm sure my brother's clarinet is too lol
Happy Holidays to you as well 🎄⛄️❄️☃️💕

Garden is looking good at this time...this mild fall weather has been great. Enjoyed the live over on Audrey's channel today.🥰
@@RobinGardens Thanks. I could get used to this weather😅 Thanks for supporting
Hello, thanks for the tour. New sub here, after seeing you at Audrey's. ☺ I'm in Oslo , Norway and I grow on my balcony. Season is ended, it's just below freezing and snow is in the forecast for the weekend.
Thanks for the support. Cozy up by the fire
10:00 I haven’t bothered my sunchokes yet either. 11:16 lots of yummy greens 😊 15:10 I love dusty miller!
You turned me on to DM. I'm overwintering in the greenstalk cause you showed it can be done.
I never use gloves or water lol 😂 it's way more fun that way
@@shanedacia6531 I'm sure 😁
I separating my cloves and unfortunately freezing the rest. Garlic not lasting as long as it typically does. Mine will in this weekend...way late for me.
Yay! Garlic planting time 😊 🧄🧄
Oooh so many peppers to harvest. What are you gonna do with them all? I was late getting my garlic in too but I finally did it. Looks like your sun gold was really productive for you this year.
@YouGrowRow the peppers will be fermented or powdered. Once you powder, a lot gets very little🤪. Sungold is crazy, still delicious too.
Hey Joy I’m glad you’re feeling better
@@kayreneesgarden thanks Kay
I'm going to be shut down on the 9th with my compost delivery. I'm sad to wind down this year. Amazed that you still have cherry toms.
@@RobinGardens ooohhh, compost . So good to reset with fresh material.
The garden is still thriving. I see chickies ❤❤❤
Very nice of your friend. 😊
Always nice to have friends😊
Take the grapes!!😊

Hey Joy..... You are surely suited up for the occasion. Woooooow.... 😞The mice have been eating good. Eggplants and peppers did great. 👍🏽
@@growingoutthebox Haha thanks😊
I've done SP twice. First time fab second time they were eaten by some bug underground....ugh, I feel your disappointment.
@RobinGardens It's always a gamble in the garden. We are the worst addicts🤣
