That dread sounds like a dread through the Fishman; through the AER, it sounds like a polished recording.
The XS do not sound like a coat of string... I would pick those just because of that... The longevity is really convenient
The Fishman sounds noticeably fuller and warmer. Crazy how it’s almost $1000 less?
Please express your opinion instead of asking us to judge via an iPhone speaker.
I really wanted the AER to be the clear winner but after plugging both, to our hears the Fishman has a more balance sound. The AER has a tendency to be high heavy. So I ended not buying it.
Martin 2.0 sounded best!

I like the XS. I think that Collings could make almost any string sound better.
what about playabillity? Were any of those easier to pllay than others?
Good question. Playability I’d say is about the same.
The XS sounded odd because some of the strings were out of tune (some flat and some sharp)..They sounded the loudest probably due to them being brighter than Martin 2.0. The XT were not at the same tonal level as the Martin and XS. The Martin 2.0 is quite warm and less bright/clear than the XS.
AER is $1000 more than fishman...for what??? WTF.

Great comparison. I agree completely. XT sounded absolutely dead. The XS was maybe brighter but sounded a little odd. A little thin. Nice sustain though. Martins had that sustain in the highs better and that growl from the g down. And more bass. They Martins sounded perfect, and still very loud

Hello there...what cables do you use for the mic and what cables for the guitar? Thank you so much again...
I use Mogami gold cables for mic’s and mogami plat for guitar only because that’s what was available when I bought them. I think gold is just fine.
They say for being on the road the Fishman is more robust!?
I don’t know if the Fishman would be more robust. That aer is tough.
