Every year we build Black Rock City together, and together we survive it. High heat, high winds, unrelenting dust, and this year was no different: only intense rain was also on the menu. The media headlines focused on early protests, a tragic death, heavy rains and heavier mud, and even a pair of celebrities needing "rescue" from their ill advised stroll; but in my opinion, the most important h...

No lasers or pyrotechnics allowed. No bathrooms. way less law enforcement and No Man to burn... but i'll be damned if we didn't burn brighter than ever! Caribou was just so awesome, I had to go back... This time fellow Eagle Scout and childhood buddy Nic aka "loud noises" joins me again to guide a new group of Scouts on their first backpacking trek. Their Outspired adventure was awesome!, But for Youth Protection we didn't show them much in this video (they have their own I made). Check out our trip though and definitely make your way to Caribo...

They changed the burning man. He used to be real tall.
The Man piece changes every year. Sometimes it's really high, sometimes it's not, in 2017 it was in a building.
Did Burning Man turned Mainstream and Corporate just like the Rave scene?
Incredible video! ❤
Thank you!
This was a sacrificial of the youth planned by the ELITES .It was cool for a second with the neon lights .Hamas invaded while no one was watching what is really going on "CERN".don't be an empty shell ." JESUS" is the answer not this acid B.S.
Loved seeing our camp, Octopus Garden, pop up at 1:24 ❤
Those tentacles were awesome! How do you get them to the Playa? Where are they stored? sooo cool!
@@TheOutspired thanks, they are inflatable, so pack down to fit in storage bags that are stored and transported out there in an enclosed trailer
Larry was a genius. 😊
I will get there soon.
Burning Scam ! Puke & glow sticks forever ! 🎉
from what I heard it was way better in the 90s. too many woke fools ruining it for everyone.
Loved this video! I got to experience my first burn in 2023 and it’s content like this that really warmed me up to attending ^_^ @TheOutspired How did you set up the Aluminet on your tent? I’m planning to get a 10x10 Kodiak canvas and trying to figure out a practical shade solution, and I really like the simplicity of your setup!
I love love ❤ these amazing Showbiz videos, especially on a cold 🥶 chilly UK day! Always wanted to go to Burning Man and Glastonbury! Hippie love maan! UK 🇬🇧
name of first song?
Labryinth - the feels (instrumental) .. Enjoy!
I'm all for people getting together and having a good time. I have no interest in slamming the brakes on it. But this "leave no trace" event leaves 10 million tons of garbage not only on the playa...but the whole 75 mile stretch in and out is littered with garbage, human waste and discarded vehicles. Like.. do better.
I’m only one person, one of tens of thousands who follow the BM principles, particularly LNT; but sadly a few bad apples - which adds up when there’s 70k attendees - don’t, and their actions ruin the reputation of everyone else, but check out how the org and participants are trying to “do better.” burningman.org/event/preparation/leaving-no-trace/ Ps. I like your handle name 🙌🏽
@@TheOutspired thanks😊 Yeah, I am not sitting here trying to pin it all on one person. But if there's a million people saying "I'm just one person"...it adds up to the sh*show it is afterwards,ya know? When the event started, and it was just a bunch of hippies getting together,it was a leave no trace event. Now that it's a corporate money generating machine sponsored by Polaris? It's what you have when anything goes corporate. A bunch of people running who act like they care, but really don't. Even the bottled water people used to give each other for free is $10 now. That alone shows how much they care. The foundations the owners set up for things like the kit foxes... they're just tax shelters. Not functioning charities. All of which has been publicly exposed by the press. But problem with that is,you really can't get regular people at home to care about wars and genocide on the news,so it's impossible to get them to care about the playa. At most? They'll say " that's terrible!" And go back to eating their dinners
@@TheOutspired maybe while everyone is gathered in one place, talk to them about starting a new event somewhere else? If it was organic, and just made up by the people like this event was when it began...you could grow it into something, and it would be a lot more fun! You really only need three ingredients to actually accomplish it: You need willing participants. You need to get the word out. And you need music. There's 3 million square miles of empty BLM land which the playa used to be before everyone made the owner rich, and he bought it. Tell him to keep his $3,000 parking and $10 bottles of water. 😊. There's tons of young bands and DJs always looking for gigs. Then everything would be on the attendees terms, not mega corporate. It would take a little work to make it happen, sure. But while everyone is there, and just hanging out anyway? I'm sure it would generate interest.
Glad it rained. Sodom and Gomorrah - disgusting in every aspect
They could have something like this in every State.
That would be awesome!
Awesome video, felt like I was there.
Thanks!!! Hope you can make it out there some day!
Can chocolate people attend this event?🤞🏿
People of any complexion, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, age, background etc can join the fun! All are welcome if they can score a ticket. And there's even camp's dedicated to inclusion like the "People of Color" camp: facebook.com/p/People-Of-Color-at-Burning-Man-100064328516069/
This one of the greatest videos I have seen of Burning Man. They are my people. Hopefully someday I will see them. I get it, all of it.
Thank you for the compliment! Appreciate your positive vibes!
I can only say it was just an awful experience having to walk and bike around in stifling heat, dust storms, pouring rain and rivers of mud mixed with shit and piss just to get to the shit and piss filled porta-pottiies. I'll pass on this next year.
Sorry to hear you had a rough experience - Agreed it was definitely a trying time for all and the portos were nasty. However, it seems the issues you experienced are an expected part of the journey - it's a desert after all - but can be mitigated enough to enjoy it all with a bit more preparation (Principle #4 Radical Self Reliance). If you venture to the playa again (I hope you do) it will be a much better experience with the following: I highly suggest a quality shade structure, fans, even AC options - explore the playa in the morning, evening and night if the heat is too strenuous by day; but note 2023 wasn't a particularly hot year comparatively - it was the coolest i've ever experienced. Dust is unavoidable - but good goggles, mask etc make it much more bearable. Perhaps an E-bike or bike with larger tires would make it easier for non-mud conditions. As far as restrooms go... Maybe join a camp that provides their own facilities to ensure cleanliness, or a standard bucket with toilet seat lid attachment, wet wipes/ TP, and disposable urine/#2 bags to line the bucket worked great for me. Most importantly, a positive mind set even in the face of frustrating conditions is key to enjoying whatever mother nature has to offer. If you do pass on it this year, no worries; You do you! :) but this page is for good vibes only so i'm just trying to help. Thanks! -Chesh
@@TheOutspired Thanks for taking the time to respond. You offer several good ideas to prepare for the event. I still think I'll take a pass on future burns though. It seems that I'm just not cut out for it.
@@roberttuss5349 Totally understand! I'm definitely going again, but likely taking a few years off to recharge and reevaluate my setup. It was a tough one.
Just red necks that are desperate to be different.
Zero interest in ever going…glad you like it
What song was the woman on the harp singing?
I'm not sure unfortunately. Would definitely share if I could!
Hello! What is the song that starts at 4:00?
HI! Unfortunately i'm not sure. That song was captured live by the harpist around 4:45. She was great; but no clue what the song is or what camp it was from, was somewhere in the 2:30 & E neighborhoods. If you happen to find out somehow please share :)
Bummer. What a beautiful song.
This year was my first year on the Playa and I wouldn't change a single thing. I got to experience every extreme of the desert and through the rain came a beautiful rainbow. Our entire camp bonded and everyone in the near by neighborhoods became closer that we would have otherwise. What a special year. Beautiful video loved the struggle together trauma bond lol.
After burning 8 times in the 90's I can say this: Now all guys are all wearing beards and all the girls are wearing cloths. Very different.
I believe every burn is a culmination of each individuals contribution; it's a reflection of the people that attend making each year unique in its own way. And with how dramatically society, hair and clothing styles, art, and especially technology have changed in the past 30 years, it would be a shame if the burn stood stagnant and didn't adapt and grow too. Though I bet attending in the 90's would have been pretty freakin amazing too; but it just might be time to go back to the dust :) burn bright my friend!
Frankly, it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience ❤ I'm fascinated by the concept, the games, the animations, the scenery. Well done 👍 Bravo 👏 But I'm not sure I'll be able to take part because of the men who forbid freedom.😢
Anyone who is lucky enough to score a ticket can take part in the experience :)
Yo~total stunning video- The,
is there any control against dope out there ?
It's illegal there, but I've seen people smoke openly so may not be enforced too hard, maybe law enforcement is going after those with the quantity or intent to sell. Here's some info I found on the Burning Man website: "The federal government does not recognize state laws decriminalizing marijuana for medical or recreational purposes. The possession or use of marijuana is against the law in the Black Rock-High Rock National Conservation Area where the Black Rock City event takes place. Having a medical marijuana card is NOT a defense. Adults aged 21 and over are permitted under Nevada law to possess and transport up to one ounce of marijuana (and up to ⅛ ounce of concentrated marijuana) and marijuana paraphernalia within the state (but not on federal land, where the Black Rock City event takes place). In Nevada, the use of marijuana in public places other than licensed cannabis consumption lounges is still prohibited, as is possession or transportation of more than an ounce (which could be evidence of trafficking under state law). Other restrictions also apply. See Nevada Revised Statutes Chapters 678A and 678D for the full text of Nevada’s laws regulating medical and recreational marijuana. Remember that marijuana remains illegal under federal law, and the BLM may cite anyone in Black Rock City for possession of any amount."
Exactly what I expected to see. I feel sick in my heart for all of you. Please repent and find Jesus..
I've witnessed more spirituality demonstrated on the playa than i've ever seen in a traditional church setting. You do you, but please allow others the same courtesy and keep your negativity to yourself.
@@TheOutspired I'm sure you have good Sir. The questions are which spirits?......
Next time you guys decide to go up there again, make sure to clean up your mess before you live.
Agreed - LNT is a big part of the Burning Man ethos - in fact, it's the most important principle imo!
We had a double rainbow in 2007!
This is breaking the rules of burning man what stays at burning man stays at burning man
Agreed. What stays there, stays there; except playa dust - it gets everywhere. But in the spirit of the ‘burning man rules’ aka principles; in the case of Leave No Trace: I took only photos (videos), and left only footsteps. FYB!
It's all part of the experiment
Музыкальное сопровождение скучное
If you don’t like the music I chose, you can always watch another video instead :) FYB!
