Come on people, what has become a religion and a unifying force is money. Read some of Joseph P. Farrell's books to learn how money and kingship was invented through the temples (early banks) back in Babylon. There is NO such thing as a literal mark of the beast. This can be proven in several ways. The easiest is that a literal MARK would contradict what Jesus taught. Jeus said there is ONE unforgivable sin. Mt12:31-32. So, if the MARK is literal, then Jesus would be wrong. That aint happening. This is just one way to figure it out.

Since 1914 C.E., wars around the earth have been ongoing relentlessly. Thus, Jesus gave identifying features, that established he was crowned king of God's Kingdom, when it was "set up" in 1914 C.E. (see Dan 2:44, 45), and exercised his new power by throwing Satan and his rebel angels out of heaven and down to the earth.(see Luke 10:18) This was the start of his invisible "presence", "the beginning of the pangs of distress" on mankind, that has grown exponentially and whereby "the pangs of distress" will end at Armageddon.(Rev 16:14, 16)
