We spend too much time searching for files, we find inconsistencies in how we treat files in our organizations or within our teams and we are even exposed to risk when we have multiple versions of the same file or when we keep transitory files beyond their useful life. In our upcoming webinar on digital 5S we will...

It was a pleasure spending time with Will Easson, one of the owners of Eassons Transport Group discussing how he and the leadership team at Eassons engage employees and align them to the company vision.
Hi & many thx!!!!!! (my hint 4 Question @ 40:24 » ."Export 2 word": very easy way: (also valid for format: Notebook, pdf, xps & webside) 1. select the focuesed notebook, section, ore page 2. press "data" > "export (dialog opens) 3. choose export format (notebook, word(DOCX), word 97, pdf, xps, webside) 4. press export (dialog opens) 4. save where u want... 😋 Kind regards 2 all! SH (P.S.: ... some practical additional tipps, that U might find helpfull: - I recommend to create a maximum of 7 - 8 logical and clearly defined units* in each hierarchy level (clearly arranged & easy to remember). - this "matrix" should preferably always follow the same pattern/basic idea. - (this structure should also correspond to the folder structure outside of OneNote vice versa. Otherwise error-prone rethinking & assignment requests arise when searching and saving. With Teamwoks this means chaos!) - (for both structures I recommend a 2-digit number assignment (before the title, and if necessary a fixed color assignment) - If in doubt, create one section too many, rather than too few. Reasons: 1. you can group sections (section group!!), if the view becomes too confusing, or you want additional main structures. (I love it!) and 2. only "sections" can be password protected!!! So if you want/need to share content, this is the only hierarchy element you can always "control" in collaborations... - the rest remains visible. (For this, you may sometimes need to consider creating a separate (private) version of the notebook for particularly confidential, but very complex and extensive notes...) - (" see above*): after the OneNote - basic training I recommend to define the general (filing) structure (at least top-down, i.e. from the rough to the small, then test/optimize it for some time and from a satisfactory intermediate status create a work instruction for it, in the subject area. This is especially important in teamwork, because otherwise each person acts according to his own system... Add hint! I use 2 - 3 whole working days, only for the conception of the structure, of a new topic-complex, until I can implement the smallest, up to the largest, content purposefully into the new systematic. (... before saving or filling the content, I often have to check where exactly it belongs - which structural considerations I had at the beginning. On the other hand, if I really can't find something right away, a glance at this work instruction is enough. Positive additional effect: The training of new employees is optimally supported and (!) via summary of all work instructions a training folder can be created immediately! Have fun with the 2nd brain ,-))
This was a great perspective. My memory sucks too. The only thing it’s good for is enjoying the same jokes over and over again. Why did the orange stop half way up the hill? Yup, I still laugh at that one.
Those of us who are old enough might think of tags as keywords. Are we wrong?
It's straightforward and kept simple but very educative.
I use Teams daily and I’ve never seen the tasks feature. Did it get canned?
No way should you use only one way btw. There are so many reasons for other apps or media .. for instance, wouldn’t put my shopping list in 1note when ios reminders is perfect, simple and useful from your watch or phone. Journaling is a reinforcement mechanism that typing just doesn’t achieve.
The beauty of MORONS complicating a simple system is without limits !
We're less than 20 minutes in and this is already literally life-changing. I'm sure fellow ADHDers will think so too, when I share this!!
I’m kinda perfectionist. I am currently managing a large team and handling a government project. One issue we had is organization and true after using one note a lot of things changed.
Me too, dear
Great webinar, thanks for all the tips you posted
Hey, i looked for some inspiration to Onenote use to resolve my garbage with all stuff, process, references, aso. IMO the sections you showed is not as per GTD, there are 2 types on information: INBOX and all the rest are REFERENCES. Such big number of sections is overcomplicating....
One of the questions in the video was can you export to Word. You went on to explain the share function. Here it he answer to this question. The option under Share is Export. When you look in there you have option to export Page, Section or Notebook then you can select the Format you would like to use...Word, PDF, XPS single File Web Page.
I was baffled by his answer which never got to the nut of the question. Thank you for this.
Great summary of the power of OneNote - thanks for posting this!
I was looking for some OneNote inspiration as I am always on it for work, person, and school. This is awesome and I love the use of emojis which is something I just started using myself. Thanks again!😁
How do you add a sub page?
Is there a way to insert templates without using the 2016 desktop iteration? Or is that the only work around?

Thanks for sharing your approach to value stream mapping and how you pivoted to a remote activity. Very informative!
Whaat the... am I on the wrong bus?? Is this the Internet, or some other planet?! What happened to my undesigned, badly done, poorly recorded, low content video padded out with loads of useless fluff by an egotistical ignoramus with an appalling voice starting every freaking sentence with "So..."?? I'm not sure I can get comfortable with fitting a week's worth of training into an hour. Very unsettling.

This looks nothing like the version of OneNote I have. How do you get those tabs to magically appear?
Oh no. I think you're in the OneNote Double Version Vortex. Getting out could take quite some time or effort-hopefully not both. Here's the gist: Microsoft somehow got themselves into a tangle over OneNote, possibly by pushing people into the Cloud too hard too soon (my bias.) The result is that we have TWO versions of OneNote. THERE ARE TWO VERSIONS, WHICH LOOK DIFFERENT, AND WORK DIFFERENTLY, and depending on whom you listen to, (1) it will take several years to sunset one version, or (2) Microsoft has come to accept that both versions are here to stay. In any case, there are two current versions, and often, BOTH will be installed on your machine. The names of these two versions necessarily shift over time because the software landscape itself shifts. The two versions of OneNote are associated with your OS and your version of Office (if any) respectively. I run Windows 10 with Office 365. -"OneNote for Windows 10" comes bundled with Windows 10. It is wholly oriented to working in the Cloud. I don't use it because I work in a remote region, and value having my files residing at the same street address as me. I use the Cloud religiously for backing up, but at my own discretion; -"OneNote" [with no qualifier] is the current name for the version of OneNote I use, and that Robert uses in this video. It used to be called "OneNote 2016," and may have spent some time being called "OneNote 365." IT IS NOW SIMPLY CALLED "OneNote." I think of it as "OneNote [2016/365/-]" as opposed to "OneNote for Windows 10." If your version of OneNote appears fundamentally different to Robert's, then I suppose you are using "OneNote for Windows 10." The two versions of OneNote are said to use the same "codebase" (a suitably foggy term) and Notebooks will open in either application, so you can use either or both, so long as you don't mind that "OneNote for Windows 10" can only access Notebooks that you save in the Cloud (e.g., in OneDrive.) Don't be surprised if someone pops up here and says angrily that that's just not true, and "OneNote for Windows 10" can save Notebooks to your local machine, but if it can, then it's by some neat trick that I was never able to find, and if regular people struggle to find it, then I don't think it counts. So if you want your notebooks saved to your own machine the old-fashioned way, then you'll probably need to use "OneNote [gaping vacuum]" instead of "OneNote for Windows 10." If you have Office installed, then I expect you already have OneNote 2016 / OneNote 365 / OneNote [nothing] available in your start menu. If you don't have a paid version of Office, I have heard that OneNote [-] is available free to download (Microsoft Store?) Good luck. Btw, the OneNote Naming Crisis Support Group meets every Tuesday evening. If you're interested, just turn up at 7:30. (Bringing baked goods is optional.)
@@lucasgroves137 Thanks so much... It is still confusing, but at least there is something of an explanation.

Hello, I have a problem with ONENOTE, I really can't find a solution, I can only come here to leave a message for you. When I click Linked note in Review, my fixed window is not on the right side, but on the top, I have been tried many times, and there is no way to link the copied PPT content to the window. Each time it is simply copied and pasted, and no link has been created. I have also opened start taking linked notes. No way. Thank you very much. Could you help me
