AI Meets iGaming: A Conversation with Optimove’s Motti Colman
In this episode (The Gambling Files RTFM 190), Motti Colman, VP of iGaming at Optimove, joins Fintan and Jon to explore the intersection of AI and the gambling industry. They discuss how predictive modeling and hyper-personalization are transforming marketing strategies, improving customer experiences, and addressing responsible gambling concerns.
In iGaming, players may think the big win is the highlight, but behind the scenes, it’s Optimove’s CRM software-that's the true MVP. With Optimove, you can juggle players, promotions, and data with the finesse of a Vegas croupier. Thanks Optimove, for being a sponsor. We owe you a standing ovation!
Also, thanks to EveryMatrix! Whether you're into sports or esports, their platform offers reliable data and an unmatched number of markets to choose from. Plus, their industry-leading accuracy ensures you stay ahead of the game. Thanks for backing the podcast! Hey listeners, check them out: OddsMatrix Sports Betting Software Solutions!
And thanks to Clarion Gaming. They’re like a well-timed boost in a race, making sure you’re not only in the game but winning it. Thanks for being the secret weapon we can count on, even when we hit those podcasting speed bumps!
In a nutshell:
* The evolution of AI from predictive modeling to mainstream buzzword status.
* How Optimove pioneered hyper-personalization in iGaming.
* The concept of the "positionless marketer."
* AI’s role in identifying and mitigating problem gambling behaviors.
* Balancing responsible gambling with player value maximization.
* Using AI to create highly personalized customer experiences.
* How Optimove’s predictive modeling helps marketers understand their customers.
* Combining AI capabilities with human creativity.
* Why some applications of AI, like content generation, still suck.
* Predictions for the next wave of AI innovation in iGaming.
Choice quotes:
* Motti Colman: “It seems like every business is telling their customers: We are AI, or We have AI. But quite a lot of that is BS.”
* Motti Colman: “At Optimove, we were doing AI before it was cool. And I always talk with our sales team about not throwing around fancy buzzwords, but to talk about how we utilize AI.”
* Fintan Costello: “One-to-one marketing and personalization makes for a great presentation to the exec team. But for the boots on the ground, delivering it is a nightmare. You can't do it without automation.”
* Jon Bruford: “What companies tell us is personalization is often them just trying to sell us more of the same stuff, which is the opposite of personalization.”
Thanks to Motti Colman for being on the show!

Thank you so much for this amazing video! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
First minute 👏
Very interesting show lads. I’ve been using his site since the summer, the platform is smooth too. Hopefully the company gets some nice traction in the future.
Great video
fking weirdos
whether checks are frictionless or not isnt the issue, open banking is just giving your private data away more conveniently, and other than in extreme circumstance, the bookies have no right to check what I can afford, its none of their fking business quite frankly the bookies know fine well who the vulnerable players are, who the problem gamblers are, theyve been profiling them for decades, their accounts are marked VIP for christ sake, when some guy goes grazy and starts blowing 10s of thousands of his companys money, that sticks out like a sore thumb, they chose to sit back and let it happen, its not from a lack of information, they chose to accomodate money laundering, they eat the massive fines because its a drop in the ocean to what gets through were talking about utterly corrupt institutions here, designed to exploit the people were now led to believe theyre trying to protect, why are they not the ones being sanctioned here and forced to operate more ethically? why is it them who are benefitting by being given more power? its fking upside down and nobody involved seems to have a fking clue, the bookies must be struggling to believe whats happening here, theyre being rewarded for decades of malpractice
what an absolute disgrace all of this is, an affront to personal freedom and all involved should be utterly ashamed of themselves for trying to create a world like this, where repulsively intrusive powers over the individual are granted to corrupt corporations, and you know gambling will just be the beginning, theyll move on to other aspects of our life the 90% (very hard to believe) who accepted it are likely the 10 quid at the weekend football coupon masses, not serious punters, this is just a further distillation of the mugs only modern bookie model its 10% of punters who fund 90% of the action, and its that 10% who arent going to sign up for this, buts thats the whole point isnt it, they want to close the loophole of sports betting which can be a way out of the slavery matrix, they want to end serious punting and leave the masses of two bob guaranteed losers to put their coupons on while FOBTs remain unregulated in shops the money wont be left on the table tho, the criminals will be licking their lips, affordability checks are effectively a ban on serious gambling, thats what they are regardless of how its dressed up, and just like you see with drugs, you cant stop people from doing it, the illegal market will thrive and a ton more damage will be done in totality thats how you know its not about helping people, its not about the greater good because ACs are for the greater evil, on multiple levels
'Promosm'
