Soma Hayato - Goodbye Heisei (さよなら平成)
Funny how you can be at the right place and the wrong place at the same time. 🤔
The harmonies, tho!
Wow I’ve never seen this before
Don't think I've ever heard the original lyrics before this was a big hit! haha, love it!.
Original lyrics are a myth. They improvised various parts of the song for each performance, and in fact for the album version, to keep the banter portions fresh, they recorded a different version of the song every day they were in the studio working on Gordon. I imagine they had the sung portions written, but the spoken portions were off the cuff every time, just like for live performances. I think Steve's departure was a huge loss for the band, but back when he was still with them, and to a lesser extent after as well, they put on an incredible live show with not only expert musicianship but also spontaneity and improv and, at least in the early days, medleys of current pop hits combined with delightful choreography. There are at least a couple full concert videos from the late 90s to early 00s, and I highly recommend checking them out.
This is so good 👍
I remember hearing his on the radio around '93. As goofy as it was, it was an incredibly clever and well written song.
"I'd buy you a Skoda, because they're all sold out of Yugo's". Brilliant little line change there! Maybe Steven was just getting tired of singing the same lyrics so many times on this tour, but he makes a few more changes to his parts along the way.
Wow 😂 this is new 😂
Brilliant
The little kid is at the beach with a Nickelodeon orange umbrella in the beach sand and a hat on top of her head
So cheesy and yet brilliant. Loving the chilled out version
Study: Does gentrification kill culture? Conclusion: CUNTS!!! 😂😅😭
if I heard Fela Kuti I’d be going nuts, this is an incredible song
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The “You Can’t Do That on Television” clip at the 14:35 mark in this video actually aired in 1981, not 1984.
Burial vibes
That's my baby sheesh get it Yasmin ❤️🇯🇲❤️🇯🇲
sick
Eclecticly profoundly simple
WTF is this about? All I heard was a bunch of noise and voices. I clicked on this video to find out about this Phasma. ??????
I bet you’re a lot of fun at parties 🎉 😅😅😅😅
@@legaleagles3654 I sure am. Have a great day friend.
i love sweely so much omg what a life long crush of mine
Banger 🎉
Very breakbot
🔝
They love it but they can’t show it because of white guilt
29:40 I was hoping to see an uncensored clip of Marc doing “looky”.
Pretty beefy sounds on such small machines!
Can you upload the reel stuff Nickelodeon tape?
How can the crowd stay still??????
The quality sounds so good! How did you get it to sound so good? I find the quality of mine on PO 33 isn’t great
I think they're running the PO output through the NTS1 to get delay/reverb, which seems to make everything sound better
Is there a full song with the sample you used? I like it very much!
Nice video so far But will you reupload the full vhs in better quality, not in cam quality?
where did you get the black keyboard strip from?
That's what I wondered.
@@carnmarth334 Hi i think he could of swapped it out from a korg monotron delay?..they have a black ribbon keybaord pad thing but he's never replied to give a explanation.
KORG Monotron Delay maybe?
Man I would kill to hear this man live. So jealous of these people.
I remember alot of these vignettes and bumpers! This VHS looks like a advertisement sent to cable companies to pick up the channel on their lineup, or used at Universal Studios during Nickelodeon Studios as a video used on repeat for those waiting in line for attractions or filming of Nick Shows. Or possibly something sent as a demo to prospective clients. It seems like a unique case scenario for this compilation to exist and who would it have been distributed or viewed by 🤔
It came from a box of resources called How to Nickelodeon (this VHS was a part of that box). People who were new to Nick and its identity, such as those that were put in charge of writing what the announcer says in the commercials, or designing new iterations of the Nickelodeon logo, even studios Nick would commission to make idents, etc., would receive this and review it so that they knew what feel the network was looking for in those respective areas.
Fuck yea everyone there needs to be on those kids level at 1:07 lol
awesome... thank you for the discovery
Is this a white kids bday party? One of the greatest hip hop songs ever and some dude with a fanny pack was semi excited....
weak crowd
:)
Love it!
How can you even sit still during a song like this?
Crowd is LAME! Didn’t deserve his performance. Dude got talent...
This nts-1 looks nicer with every demo i see
Sync Out to the PO-33, PO-33 Audio Out to NTS-1 Audio In, NTS-1 Audio Out for Recording. Am I right? This is nice. I have both of these, but I’m struggling to get to grips with the NTS-1, I’ve had it making some seriously good sounds, some nice Arps and Loops, but not sure how to tweak them well yet. Hopefully I’ll get to grips with it as it’s a lot of fun.
Bevers
Are they dead
The crowd is so weak. This is hands down one of the best hip hop songs ever imo.
100% agree. This song is SLAPPIN'! And the crowd is just sitting there like they're doing HIM a favor. Coma patients be movin' to this song. Jezuz.
@@temple13 lmao
Yeah, Ecstatic is a top-five hop hop album for me... it's an underrated masterpiece.
honestly I'd say 20% get it. the rest their exposure to hip-hop is Jay-Z, Em, and 50. they probably have never listened to tribe, Wu Tang, OutKast, or the Roots
I love me some yasiin bey....mos def!!!
