to everybody in the comments saying that this can’t happen to you because you’ve “gone electric”…..if you’d paid any attention to the video you would have heard the part about gas leaks traveling underground. after a recent home explosion in ohio, it was discovered that there was basically a bubble of gas that was 200 SQUARE METERS sitting under this neighborhood, and the home that exploded just drew the short straw. these problems can affect you. sorry but you don’t get to write off public safety concerns just because you got an electric water heater.

That's a shame. Luckily, that isn't very frequent. I think towns and states should report that type of stuff to the FED. My point is not to scare people away from using natural gas, but aging infrastructure is aging infrastructure. For those explosions to be that large, the gas should be leaking for quite some time. You can smell natural gas. You are supposed to call the fire department any time you smell natural gas. Those little detectors look like a good idea, but considering the way those were explosions that large, it makes me suspect foul play.

I contacted state police in 2017 about this case. The officer on the phone told me that they didn’t have the time or the resources to investigate a “33 year old cold case involving a whore.” I called back, did have a meeting with two officers in person who interviewed me about my knowledge involving this case. They requested that I give my dna and I did so voluntarily, haven’t heard from them since. Contacted them again two years later and felt I was threatened, when the officer on the phone said that if kept calling they would make me a suspect. Gas leaks aint no joke Iv'e seen it but O boy here is another way to scare people away from gas and only using electric.

I know why I don't allow gas in my home. It's great for cooking and heating, but it's highly dangerous if not handled properly. Leave gas to industry where people are trained to use it safely. Gas has no place in homes where people have no idea what they are doing. That said, gas explosions only occur under certain circumstances. For it to happen there must be a certain gas to air ratio that is difficult to achieve. Usually the gas just burns for a few seconds and then goes out leaving a sooty layer over everything. People have been know to survive in the middle of such fires.
