Special G was formed in 2013 in Moscow, started out as cover band (preferred Placebo covers) and successfully performed at many festivals and parties, and also toured several cities in Russia. In July of 2015 the musicians of Placebo (Bill, Nick and Matt) personally attended one performance of Special G and highly appreciated their level. The band soon switched to their own music - melancholic alternative rock inspired by the leading british bands of the late 90s and early 00s.
