I am so glad we made the effort to be outside in a beautiful park. Even though it was cloudy the two minute blackness that overtook us was just phenomenal. I did not particularly notice the drop in temperature as it was already pretty cool, but what a life altering experience! I will always remember it. We were up at Seneca Lake State Park in Geneva.

@@TheWonderPieceCollection I had hoped to capture it better on my video cam, but it just doesn't show it as dark as it truly was. You guys likely had more since you were right in the path. Too bad it wasn't the day before which was absolutely not a cloud in the sky all day. My daughter drove from where she lives in CA to Russellville, AR - visiting relatives - and got the full experience with basically clear skies. You're right...life altering. I'll never forget it. You also had longer darkness being right in the path. Keuka Lake was a bit outside. The edge of the path can vary by as much as a thousand feet on either side being that the width of the sun is not fully known so it could be that Penn Yan may or may not have experienced the predicted 37 seconds of totality. Do you live up that way? We drove about 300 miles to get up to the Finger Lakes. We love it there anyway, so with or without the eclipse it made for a fun weekend! Got to visit several wineries on Sunday, which was lovely for driving around.

What a poetic response:) thank you for taking time to view some of my work and respond. How do I begin? Sometimes I just see which colors I am drawn to and start there. There are also universal forms ( see my Gaudi video) that keep me inspired.

Hi Marie. Thank you so much for sharing as well! Don't worry about what anyone thinks, just go for it. For me, having a chance to just look at art in general, is very inspiring and Art is always subjective. I would say, just get out and go see an art exhibit or quilt exhibit ) that interests you take a look at what’s in the exhibit. What draws you in? What do you absolutely like/not like? Take notes. It's YOUR journey. . It’s OK not to like certain things and it’s OK to love certain things like I said, it’s all subjective. As far as being creative, maybe start with a smaller size canvas. You would be surprised at what you can do s working smaller . Do you happen to like batik fabric? I love batiks and find it so versatile to work with it. It’s also a really high-quality tightly woven fabric that makes working smaller easier. Get to know your fabric types, and look around on UA-cam to see what you like art-wise and working with smaller types of pieces. I hope this helps. Please let me know how things go for you.

Por supuesto, pude experimentar la genialidad del arte de Gaudí en persona. Cualquier cosa en mi obra que sea similar a Gaudí es ciertamente subconsciente.
