Happened to me too
I was 15 when I was taken to Smithfield for the first time. It was a world within a city world that slept. So busy so crazy. From being hung up in the old giant meat sacks used for trimmings to being told to get a " Long Weight " from Thomas Fords ( shop selling knives and everything a butcher needed ) I joined the legions of apprentices used n abused and loved every minute of it.......OMG that is nearly 50yrs ago and I can still see mums smiling face when I brought my first wages home a a big bag of meat.

The CID or Thariyat as they are called are notorious for framing people. In fact they are given targets to frame x number of people in a given time. And, more so, they are given incentives and rewards. Every illegal immigrant is an informer and they frame innocent people in cases in exchange for living in Dubai without any visa.

I have never felt threatened or unsafe in the uae…keep your nose clean, behave with decent and modesty…I have visited the uae x5 a year for seven years visiting family out there. I’m a white western woman…I’ve never even seen a police officer! Stick to the rules, don’t get drunk, do r take drugs, stay away from the prostitution and all will be well. Other countries have different laws…arrogant to believe they’re the same as the uk.

He Wasn’t tortured in the desert, he didn’t spend 3 or 4 weeks with a broken hand, on the 3rd or 5th day he would a visit from the British embassy then he’s treatment would change.
