    I just grind up and turn them into a pulp and press them into brickett's Just like the charcoal manufacturers do and it saves me a lot of $$money$$!!! Making charcoal is a good 👍 idea 💡 if you've the means and time 😊!!!!

    Thanks mate. Charcoal is really expensive and is imported into New Zealand, so I've been making my own lump Charcoal which is great. But I do have a lot of crumbly char that's too fine to use as lump, so I'm going to try making briquettes by your method. A better shot of your press would be handy, but I think I know how it works. Cheers 😊

    Salut merci pour la vidéo 🙏 Moi j'ai essayé mais ça produit trop de cendre, alors j'aimerais savoir comment avoir un charbon qui produit moins de cendres et qui s'allume. Merci 🙏

    I do this for my smaller bottles. I have copper tubing instead of a rubber hose. I decant on the back lawn so any escaped gas or liquid will disperse on the grass. Propane is heavier than air, and if doing in the garage, has the possibility of gas seeping in gaps and crevices. I use an electricians screwdriver as it is plastic coated and minimises any risk of a spark. I have never had an issue decanting.

    Isn't there a air release valve on the target cylinder that you need to unscrew? That lets all the air out. Then when it spits white cloud LPG, you just close the valve and it's full!

    How much in ratio of the ground charcoal did you use for the 1and a half cups of flour? Did you add anything else to this mixture?

  • @mdmoto1
    @mdmoto1 Рік тому

    Forget the "Hot bottle and Cold bottle stuff, The receiving bottle will automatically be cooled by the incoming gas. What about opening the Bleed screw on the receiving bottle? that's what it is there for. Also on the safety side of things, If you value your gift of sight, you should wear safety glasses (and long sleeves) in case that hose clamp (on the home made hose) comes loose and you get an eye full of cold Propane. .

    You don’t need to weigh. Once you’ve opened donor cylinder and receiver cylinder you then open The fixed level gauge with a flat head screwdriver to release vapour and allow proper transfer of liquid. Once the vapour turns to a white mist close the fixed level gauge first, then close cylinder main valve and donor main valve. Once you’ve got a constant white mist flow from the fixed level gauge you’ve achieved approx 80% liquid fill and leaving 20% for vapour. No bbq shops or servos ever weigh cylinders. Make sure the cylinder is not over 10 years old

      @pencilme1n Рік тому

      Do you mean these guys in the video are telling it wrong as they didn't mention opening a fixed level gauge (wherever that is?)

    • @riverstones-wd40
      @riverstones-wd40 8 місяців тому

      Yep..he didn't mention that cause he is guessing or doesn't know that's what it's there for. Open the valve with a screwdriver. Wait until the mist comes out white. Done ! . Close all.valves

    I've never done this, so this might not be feasible, but I had a few thoughts watching the video. When it comes to crushing the charcoal into fine pieces, you could get another drum without any holes. Put the small pieces into it and add some large rocks. Then roll it around your yard. It would act like a ball mill. It should stop the dust getting everywhere. You might even mount the drum on two rollers, so you don't have to chase it around your yard. You could add the binder slurry into this drum, with the crushed charcoal, and roll it to help with the mixing. I think I'd want to use another binder such as wastepaper, which has been soaked into a slurry, rather than use good useable flour. Other burnable waste, such as food waste, might be added to the mix.

    Add a small piece of plywood cut to match the length and width of the individual brick molds. Place one on top of each rectangular space, then put the cover on and press it. Press them once, then add the plywood and press them further. See if that works.🖖😎👍
