If you own a PS3, then PS+ Premium is not worth it because you can easily find and play any PS1/2/3 game for cheap without streaming. The only tier that's worth it above Essential is Extra for the access to more expensive modern gen games. Unless Sony gets with the times and makes the classic catalogue more robust and allows you to download the games, then it is not worth it. So, imo, Essential or Extra, but Premium is still far too weak of an offering.

its $1200 in Australia not worth thw money at all

600$ with a disc drive and stand would have been totally acceptable.

The price becomes a real problem when it doesn't include a disk drive or even a stand. In EU PS5 Pro digital cost 900$ LOL I was pretty sure i was going to buy a PS5 pro but i`ll keep gaming on my base PS5. A good thing about the pro is that the PS5 game backlog will look better than without for the PS6. Right now im enjoying Astro Bot.

People keep calling the ps5 pro an investment. I say you don't buy a console for what it might do years down the line you buy a console for what it can do now. Years down the line the pro might be cheaper and better value for money. Years from now Xbox could have a better console that leaves ps5 pro owners with even more buyers remorse. I made the mistake of buying the PlayStation 3D simulview monitor in 2011 believing that more games would be patched to support the features later down the line. To this day there are only 4 games that used the simulview feature and 3D isn't even a thing anymore🤷 What I ended up with was an over priced monitor that I just use as a monitor. Won't be making that mistake or taking those risks again. I love my ps4 pro and my standard ps5. Both have built in disc drives and run perfectly.

To think you can buy 2 standard ps5 consoles for the price of 1 ps5 pro and not get double the quality should be your red flag right there😂. Value for money wise a ps5 pro is not worth 2 standard ps5's. At best the ps5 pro is a niche luxury item not a must have. The only game that looks noticeably different on the pro is final fantasy rebirth. None of the 14 ps5 games I currently own would look much different.

I just finished Ratchet and clank rift apart and I'm playing The Medium and life is strange true colours on my ps5, I'm playing Ori and the Blind Forest on the Xbox one x and enslaved and the Alan Wake American Nightmare DLC on the 360s

The marketing for the BS5 pro is such a lie and scam. The whole premise was meant to be quality mode without compromise but that's not what you get. Most games still have graphic modes in some cases even more than the standard ps5, what do you call that if it's not compromise? Games at higher frame rates still take a hit on things like ray tracing or resolution. pssr is just papering over cracks or like when you go for chinese take out and they add water to the sweet n sauce because they were running out or when the pizza joint kneads the dough too thin to save money on ingredients. Yes both would still taste like pizza and sweet n sour sauce respectively but you still can't help feel cheated. I've boycotted take out joints for doing just that. PlayStation going the apple route of taking away hardware that was always part of the ecosystem just so they can nickel and dime their faithful fans is criminal and immoral and I thought the same thing when apple pulled that stunt by taking away headphones and chargers from their phones under the guise of protecting the environment through smaller packaging. The idea of paying so much more than the standard ps5 for a small amount of upgrades you need a magnifying glass to even detect in most cases is the naked emperor cautionary tale all over again😂 That being said people can do whatever they wish with their money. I would never tell people not to buy the pro just why I won't be buying it. If we don't have our principles what do we have? As the saying goes a fool and his money are easily parted. Personally I'd rather invest money in my next flagship TV in preparation for the pS6🤷

@4:15 You are spot on. The PS5 pro costs almost twice as much as the PS5 on launch. The PS4 pro was the PS4's launch price. You get barely a 30% upgrade, and not in every game for double the cost.

The focus on fps and how many herts you get and all that other junk instead of focusing on the game and enjoying the game and not worry about some little flame spec it's just absurd 90% in the last three years have either been not finished not good and definitely not worth almost 100$ heck I enjoy all my old school games more now than I do half the games that have come out on new consoles we shouldn't have or need to have two versions of a console it should be beefed up day one o launches common sense and the ps5 library is an absolute joke and not even where it should be I want to see PS5 games not PS4 games and the ps5 hasn't even been pushed to its full potential it's terrible how much we get ripped off.

What were you expecting a real next gen right now it’s to early it’s not 2027 yet need to wait that’s why I didn’t buy it

I am waiting for Microsoft to respond and take -$100 or -$200 off of Xbox series X.

I play American Truck Simulator A LOT! After a long day just before dinner nothing better than sitting in my sim rig and just drive an 18 wheeler while enjoying the scenery and reflecting on your day listening to the rumble of the engine, the whine of the tires on the road, the wind rushing by the truck's window... it's an amazing experience. I'd recommend you have a look at it, if you haven't already.🙂
