Lived there most of my life… most of the people there are stuck up,nosey, obnoxious weirdos for the most part, NY transplants. It’s crowded, too much traffic, always someone up your 🍑 where ever you go or staring at you. I moved to another part of Jersey and felt like I was released from prison! I won’t even drive in that area anymore. I’d rather chew on tinfoil before moving back.

Thank you Melissa (!!!) for profiling the neighborhood that my parents used to live in for 21 years. They bought one of the first homes off of Rustic Way in 1995. We absolutely LOVED our home, the neighborhood, location, EVERYTHING. I have such wonderful memories of our years their and feel deeply blessed. I would say it is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods one can live in in that part of Western Monmouth County. Worth every cent.

Marlboro is a beautiful town to live in. Tree lined streets, biking/walking trails, lovely parks, acres of farms, so picturesque. Also nice neighborhoods with strict zoning ordinances so it will not be overpopulated.

Freehold Borough was primarily white and black, very few Asian or Latino. There was a Puerto Rican population in the 1960's that lived on South Street. I guess being now primary Hispanic or Latino, it has a different vibe. Although the American Hotel and Federici's are mainstays. Glad to hear the old Firehouse is going to be a Springsteen museum. The old Firehouse was right next to the local bus station and also there was a little train that left from there to take kids to Trenton to a Catholic School in the 1960's. I also lived in West Freehold for a couple of years out pass Moore's Tavern.

The best thing about Monmouth is if you grow up there, you'll have friends for life. I've lived here my entire life (50 yrs) and all my childhood and school friends are in regular contact. We all see each other often, at least once every 6 months. Amazing place to live and grow up.

There are no cons to living in Colts Neck, NJ.
