On my channel, I will be showing videos of driving and walking videos through various neighborhoods in the United States mostly in NYC, Florida, New Jersey, and Philadelphia. Enjoy my driving and sometimes walking adventures!
Driving Around Roselle Park New Jersey - Nice Neighborhood Close to NYC
Today we are checking out Roselle Park, New Jersey. Roselle Park is located approximately 45 minutes from NYC. The NJ transit train stop is also conveniently located in Roselle Park for a fast commute to Manhattan. Homes start in the low $400,000's. There is a small downtown and lots of sidewalks. It is a very walkable city. Looks like a great place to raise a family and an affordable alternative to living in New York City but still close enough to commute. #driving #newjersey #roselle #nyc #hoods

Driving through East Camden Federal Street and side streets. The main roads are populated and have lots of businesses. Side streets seem to be desolate because of factories in the area. But this is a pretty nice area that has some good shopping and lots of Hispanic restaurants and markets. It's very lively and was busy for Thanksgiving. #driving #hoods #camdennj #thanksgiving

Hide Your Pets - Animals Being Sacrificed in Queens, NYC
The CVS, at Kings Highway and White Horse Pike, was an Acme Supermarket.
That green building on the left (6:21) was where Audubon Pool was located.
We'd go from middle of Haddon Heights to Audubon and then to Audubon Shopping Center (present day Walmart. All on foot.
These were my stomping grounds as a kid, teenage and young adult. Thanks!
At 10:46...a friend from high-school works at Tom Fischers Tavern.
Please let me say "Thanks" for the memories 😊
I uploaded another video in Haddon Heights yesterday, too. What a gorgeous neighborhood.
At 8:25, there was a shop-n-bag grocery store on the left. At the light. My parents shopped there during the late 70's and early 80's.
@@francisdv I love Haddon Heights!!
My town...lived there from 1972 to 1983. 😊
Looks like you were going down a one way street in the wrong direction. Be careful with that.
A lot of streets in South Jersey look one way but they're two way. People are allowed to park in all directions on a street. It was confusing when I first moved here.
I was happy to watch a new video of Camden. Thank you.
I am a Louisville, Kentuckian that has been a Pittsburgh Steelers fan for 48 years but is in love with going to Steelburgh & Philly🙌🏿👐🏿🙌🏿
would you guy drive in the centerville area? that would be south 8th street. I never see anyone go in this area.
@@HerRoyalFinest sure we can go there. What are the exact cross streets?
@drivingadventures9020 8th and Jackson street
What a beautiful park! If you ever have the opportunity to go there again, I'd love to see the park in the spring or summer.
@@dietrikstein1871 ok definitely
Looks a HELLUVA LOT BETTER!
Again, my stomping place. Spent many years in Haddonfield. Especially, Hopkins Pond area.
@@francisdv I've never seen a neighborhood as beautiful as Haddonfield.
Depressing area Camden closed that’s why the drugs run rapid in that area
@Clark-i9o it does feel depressing. I wonder if it can be saved
Thank you for the video
So cool, you're in my neck of the woods. Grew up in Haddon Heights, but biked and then drove all of these areas.
I love this area!
@francisdv what are some streets in Haddon Heights that I should check out? I want to see the area.
@@drivingadventures9020 Heights sits between Rt 30 and 168, plus Kings Highway and 295. It's homes in the 300,000 and 400K range. Station Ave is the main street. Also check out the park in the center of town...Haddon Park. We called it Cannon Park because of the two WWII cannons in the front...closer to Station Ave. There's also Barrington to the east and Audubon to the west. It borders on Haddonfield to the north and Mt Empraim to the south.
@francisdv thank you so much!!
Stop by canals, get a handle!
what is canals and what is a handle ?
@@drivingadventures9020 Canals is a liquor store. Not sure what is meant by "handle" LoL
@@francisdv ohh lol!!
holla Born and Raised in Brooklyn the trees is what makes Brooklyn look better we use to have nothing but lots everywhere. I like the new Brooklyn I wish that my ppl was here to see the change. 😢😊
@TonyaLambert-zz6te it's true. Trees make the city beautiful. I also wish some of the people that i love that are gone could see the changes 😟.
fun fact: the Halloween movie with Michael Meyers takes place in Haddonfield Illinois. There is no Haddonfield in Illinois, the screenwriter of the film was from Haddonfield NJ, so she wanted to create a place that reminded her of home in NJ. So the movie takes place in a fake place in Illinois, based on a real place in NJ, but filmed in Los Angeles! edit: yep, you said it in the video lol I've never been to that area of NJ but it looks really pretty. The houses remind me of Cape May NJ, one of my favorite places in the state. You guys would really like it down there too.
@infinite_vortex thank you! Yes, I've read a few articles about Cape May being one of the most charming small towns. I've never been there. I can't wait to check it out.
Cape May is seriously awesome!!
Very interesting, I've seen parts of Camden that I've never seen before. Thank you.
@@dietrikstein1871 thank you
beautiful colors. love driving around south jersey/garden state parkway/turnpike this time of the year
NJ is a beautiful state
That ain't nice
Nice to see somebody showing some good of Camden!!!!
great video. I never knew there was nicer parts of Camden with some classic architecture. Your commentary is good too.
thank you!
I know Camden gets a bad wrap but I don't see trash or homeless around ?
@@peteortiz3554 you're right. The downtown area is very clean
Be careful driving around unfamiliar areas thank you for touring the town I lived in after returning from the war in Vietnam
@virgildoc oh wow! Thank you for your service. Ok, I'll be careful. Let me know if there are any places there you'd like to see in the next video.
What a depressed area will never change. I don’t miss it.

Bobby from South Jersey. Thank you for your videos. Great job! I hope you do more South Jersey drives on the old routes. Thank you again
sure anytime! What routes would you like us to take next time?
Great commentary!
I just found your channel and this video through the UA-cam Algorithm. I love that you do more narration than most of the other drive and show town channels. People want to hear your talk and explain what you are seeing in real time. Keep up the great work and your channel will grow fast.
@@klwthe3rd thank you so much!!
Your the one who appears to be looking and creeping
@jamesgerman635 Yes, I love looking and creeping through Camden. It's an interesting place.
I am from Africa and my home is Africa, please can you tell me why Black ethnics all over the world are in poverty? I have been asking myself this question since my childhood.
Not all Black or African people in the US are poor. Yes the number of blacks in poverty is higher than most ethic people but there are many reason why that might be so. There isn't one simple answer sadly. I will say that the US govt, in my opinion, works AGAINST black people in so many ways. I see it in everyday life.
@axmedjibriil8614 there are some beautiful neighborhoods in the US where black people live. Camden is mixed with black, white, and Hispanic people. I do feel that this crumbling of Camden is done purposely. It's not fair. The us is giving billions of dollars to other countries and totally ignores places like Camden that are crumbling to the ground and being used as open air drug markets.
@@drivingadventures9020 Well said.
The transatlantic slave trade.
I really like the video, it shows interesting details from Camden. Thank you. Did you record the video in october? I ask because the trees are still so green.
@dietrikstein1871 hi, yes it was recorded just the other day in October on a warm day.
Been like that for many decades...sadly.

@@DennisClark-et7zk thank you!

Actually, looks fairly calm. I'm surprised really.
Looks a lot better then Camden you past a seven eleven and a wells Fargo now fine that in Camden oh yeah you can't we never had that
@@jayadallas7588 you are right.
@jayadallas7588 it's all done on purpose. They also know how to cause row houses to crumble. Something called sawtoothing where developers knock down one building in a row of houses, which causes all of them to eventually crumble. They do it in certain neighborhoods they are interested in taking over.
So incredibly sad to see a thriving metropolis turned in to this. I've lived but miles from this city.
@francisdv it's terrible. So depressing.
The abandoned building was a Barber shop it used to be green
The one little building it used to be a man named Salem house it was a row of houses along time ago😢
@jayadallas7588 This is really sad 😔 .
