So glad she grew up in the 70s and 80s when girls like her were accepted and not told they are sick. Girls like she was have it hard now. They tell all girls who aren't girly girls they are sick and in need of severe medical intervention.
Good performance. Now, for your own gratification, check out her performance of "Hallelujah 2005 Juno Awards" version. You won't be disappointed. KD Lang, on a level above and on her own.
I don't know that Lang touches this verse of the song. It's worth thinking about: "I did my best, it wasn't much I couldn't feel so I tried to touch I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you And even though it all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord of Song With nothing on my mind but Hallelujah."
A great songwriter (Leonard Cohen), an amazing singer whose talents were early recognized by other singers such as Roy Orbison, and in terms of the 2005 Junos, a very accomplished light orchestra under the direction of this black guy whose name nobody seems to know. Lang in this case took expression of this song to an extreme. She has done it many times, before and after (Cohen has said that she owns it.). This is by far her best performance. (I'd really like to know who was conducting that orchestra and what he has done since.)

I think she cut the verse out otherwise the song would’ve been too long to perform

Kd has transcended now. Zenlike.
Stupefying. I don't need to hear another song in my lifetime. I've heard KD Lang sing Hallelujah.
