Mine is, avoid carbonated drinks for the 24-hours before you fly and during the flight. Plus aim to stay awake, watch all the movies. Any sleep you do get is a bonus, and you'll be ready for bed on evening arrival. These worked really well, hardly any jetlag after 2 x24hr long haul

The archictecture looks great & I'm sure the gelato is some of the best in the world. I've been successfully pickpocketed on the Paris Metro & I caught a guy who'd picked my pocket in Barcelona and gave the wallet back when I shouted at him ("Oh! Is this yours?") so I know enough to be careful in Napoli. Your pretty safe progression gives me confidence.

Only two species of spiders in Australia have ever killed anyone, neither are particularly small. They are the Sydney Funnelweb, found only in rural areas around Sydney, and the redback spider - widespread but which tends to hide away in dark sheltered places where you're not that likely to encounter it (and can't kill a healthy adult anyway). There is antivenom for all venomous spiders and no deaths since 1976. You're way more likely to be killed by bees or a horse. The situation with snakes is very similar. Crocodiles will kill you way up north if you're stupid enough to go swimming in their habitat. There are a couple of types of jellyfish, also way up north, that are really nasty if you ignore the signage and go swimming at the wrong time of year. Instead of obsessing about wildlife, tourists should be much more concerned about getting caught in a rip and drowning while swimming. Dozens of cases every year, mostly tourists and new immigrants because Aussie kids all learn to swim at early primary school age and have the safety requirements drummed into them.
