    Sidakov is just a much more technical wrestler. Dake's strength and endurance have won him a lot of matches. He just never wins when speed and technique are the deciding factors. Kadzi not only beat him, he won 11-0. Sidakov does just enough to beat Dake but could easily be disrespectful and run the score up on him. Burroughs was so much faster than Dake he kept him in out of the Olympics for a full decade. Dake wanted the Olympic gold so bad he used his college workaround and went up to 86KG trying to get past J'Den Cox in 2016 - Cox ate his lunch too. Ten weight classes in the worlds so the tough guys are easy to duck. Only six weight classes in the Olympics and those guys bring their A game. They use the worlds to try weight changes and new styles but all bring their A game to the Olympics.

    Knee walking-crawling back to center is bad news. I didn’t do that, but I have shut down matches after scoring a feet to back near pin in first few seconds of match. I did win by a point, maybe 7 to 6 That was bad strategy on my part Thank you for posting great videos, with point on coaching strategies

    Thank you for the breakdown and the teaching sir. I know almost nothing about wrestling, and I'm just starting to learn the sport. I can see how going low for the ankle and shelving the leg can work effectively against a more powerful wrestler. One question though - is Tazhudinov the David or the Goliath in this match? Kyle Snyder and Tazhudinov are currently both in the 215 lb weight range. Kyle is shorter, but he looks like an incredibly powerful athlete, and I wouldn't be surprised if Kyle can dead lift and squat more than Tazhudinov. It looked like Tazhudinov didn't win by having more power but brilliantly used Kyle's power against him. Maybe Tazhudinov was the David in this match, and won with a great game plan.

    • @bricker134
      @bricker134 10 місяців тому

      Deadlift and squats are important and Kyle is freakishly strong, but Tazhudinov has unbelievable hips. He did use Kyle's momentum and that's why I recommended not going up into his power. He'll need to make adjustments for the next time they meet.

      @@bricker134 That's a really unexpected insight, and it makes sense. Thank you Mr. Bricker. I've just started watching wrestling matches so I have little context, but Tazhudinov's performance in this tournament was unlike any other match I've seen so far. He seemed to lay traps against snyder, and he took a totally different approach against Sadulaev, pouncing in with double legs after off-balancing Sadulaev. His movements almost seem effortless against these giants, and I don't think I've seen this level of dominance before.

    Wooowweeewowow. At 2:43 Doug Schwab almost made Chris Marshall kick the ref in the face 😂. If you’re in the finals and see that gangster lift with 3 seconds left, that will absolutely get into the head of 90% of MS & HS wrestlers. Do you think Marshall got off the mat, looking forward to wrestling him again in the future after getting dummyflinged in the air and mollywhoped into the mat? That’s the way a boss returns with filthy technique and power. Most guys wouldn’t expend that energy that late so kudos for putting that nail in the coffin. Then to let him go and walk off like that, Sheesh. That was legendary and thank you for bringing this SF match to my attention. 🙏🏼

  • @GuyFromSC

    JJ Peace got his one takedown on Bo bc he was reaching. But he rolled JJ up the rest of the match. JB I love what you’re doing growing the sport and providing your expertise to all the young wrestlers coming up. And for that we ALL appreciate you 🙏🏼
