great hard job is done, what many milli meter size of hixa tools...
@ghazanfarjavaid4159 Thanks To be honest I don't remember exactly but it should be 8 mm or 10 mm
Thankyou for the video. It gave me reference of how the pressure lines connect to the compressor so I have an idea of what I am in for if it turns out that I need to replace the O-rings.
@mikes78 thanks so much Glad to know that you found it helpful
Just so everybody knows this is a common problem it is fairly easy to fix thanks for the video A+
@Devo1987 thanks for watching
How come you didn't show how you got the belt on?
Hello! You forgot to change the value of 20 ohm resistor. Correct currents are ig = 12.5 A and io = 2.0 A.
Hi mate, very good guide. Thanks for the help 👍
I think I just found my favourite video on UA-cam! Wow! Thanks! Saved me several hundred pounds from the dealer (Mazda in for a minor safety recall and they found the auxiliary belt was worn, and thanks to the video I know at 90k miles it probably was, and can now replace it :-).
@duncpott wonderful! I am glad the you found it helpful, Thanks for watching
My daughter's 2009 Mazda3 has developed a refrigerant leak. It is a fairly rapid leak, I can charge it and it is down again the next day. It was rapid onset too, AC was working fine one day, gone the next. I bought a sniffer and am not detecting anything around the condenser or the upper lines. However, it does give a low level alarm at the interior ducts, so I am suspecting a leak at the evaporator core. Unfortunately that will entail pulling the dash. I am wondering if it would be worth it to check around the expansion valve first.
@coachtomsvolleyballchannel2286 Thanks for asking, Yes it is true if the leakage from the evaporator, you would need to remove the dashboard. I think it is hard to find a leakage in the expansion valve. But it is worth checking it before removing the dashboard. You may be able to check the evaporator leakage after removing the cabinet air filter. You will find it a little hard as there is very little space. I would recommend giving it a try before removing the dashboard as well. Please let me know if you have any questions. I will be happy to help.
Thank you so much sir

Thanks man. Great information great videography and being very specific on recharging the ac. Appreciate you a ton
You are very welcome, I am glad that you find it helpful
Спасибо за видео, я думал что замена будет похожа на замену платформы Ford Focus 2/3, та радиатор меняется через снятие бампера и переднего усилителя что удобнее и быстрее, но Mazda так не думает)))
Hi, thanks for your comment. Unfortunately I can't understand what you wrote, can you please translate it? Thanks
So what does the expansion valve screw do do you know ?
Best video by far. Awesome work. Thank you for such great detail.

Great video man thanks
since you had to replace the compressor, expansion valve, and condenser due to a seized compressor, how much pag46 oil did you have to add to the system since everything was replaced? I'm working on my mazda 3 as well, but my compressor came out bone dry without any pag46 oil so I'm not sure exactly how much I should add for the whole system since I'm also replacing the 3 main parts. Looking at the service manual, it mentions "A/C compressor oil sealed volume approx. 120ml" and "Condenser Supplemental oil amount approx. 35ml", so I'm assuming I'll need to add about 155ml of oil into my A/C compressor before installing, and is it okay to add all of the oil into the compressor only (since it'll move it throughout the system)? Additionally, since you flushed the HI pressure a/c line that goes from the compressor into the condenser, I assume there needs to be a few extra ml of oil added into the system (maybe 2-5ml)? Let me know if I'm on the right track!
Did you figure it out? How's your ac at idle or stop and go traffic ? How cold are you getting out the vent ?
@@Devo1987 hey! i was actually able to finish the job and it works great now, been a few months so far with ice cold working a/c. I can't remember the exact amount of pag46 oil I added, but I believe it was 145ml after adding up all the necessary amount for each part in the service manual (not the owners manual), I'd recommend that you double check that by looking into the service manual yourself too. I replaced the expansion valve, condenser, compressor, and cleaned out the line that moves from the compressor into the condenser.
im glad this video exists, theres basically no older mazda 3 videos to reference off of, especially when it comes to the AC system (my AC compressor was also seized up so it was contaminated). This is extremely thorough and well explained and even has an entire series covering everything!
Thanks so much, I am glad that you found it helpful
Ditto. Going through the process of diagnosing my Mazda3 AC issue.
The best Video id say . . even someone who has never done it before can do it without having any doubts. Thankyou Mahmoud.

How much torque should the tensioner bolts be tightened to?
This is a good question Thanks for asking The factory repair manual torque specification is 14-18 ft-lbs
Nice vid, keep it up 👏
The most clear video i ever seen until now. Thank you man for sharing!!!
Thanks, it is my pleasure
I was expecting to see you clean the tube between the condenser and the expansion valve....didn't you flush that? Admittedly that would be a challenge, but I thought you mentioned at the end of part 2 that you were planning to flush that tube also.
Thanks for your comment, You are right, I was planning to clean the pipe coming from the condenser going to the expansion valve. As you mentioned, it will be very challenging, especially you have to clean it in the opposite direction of the refregirant flow (from the expansion valve to the condenser). We don't have enough space to do this. If we think about it, we will find that we don't need to clean this pipe. Why? Because we are cleaning the pipes to remove any contamination. The refrigerant flow goes through the condenser before reaching to this pipe. The condenser has very, very small channels, so most probably, any contamination will stuck in the condenser. Thus, this pipe should be nice and clean. Do you agree with me?
ESO SE HACE COMO PARTE LA LIMPIEZA DE LINEAS DEL SISTEMA DE AIRE, NO POR SEPARADO, NOES QUE NO SE PUEDA HACER PERO ES MAS COMPLICADO Y MENOS SEGURO HACERLO POR SEPARADO.
I love your video.
Thanks
Great
Do you mean coolant or refregirant? They are different. The coolent is the colored water (green in this car) however the refregirant is the R134a that is used in the AC system. If you don't have enough coolant, you can easily add some in the coolant reservoir (usually it is in the passenger side). If you don't have enough refregirant in the AC system, then most probably you have a leakage somewhere. The AC system is a sealed system, so it should hold the amount of refregirant that the manufacturer added at the beginning. To check for leakage you can add UV dye to the system and rent the leakage inspection tool from AutoZone. Thus will help you to know where is the leakage. Then you can see what should you do to fix it. Thank you for asking. Let me know if you need any help
So is this the reason my car doesn’t hold pressure and coolant ?
I appreciate your very detailed videos. You explain clearly how to do each step, even providing details such as torque specs. I utilized all six parts for the Mazda 3 AC system replacement and now have working cold air! Thank you.
Thanks so much. I am happy to find this helpful. Let me know if you need any help
