Mitsubishi Lancer Automatic Transmission Fluid Change
Переглядів 30 тис.2 роки тому
This is how you do an automatic transmission fluid change in Mitsubishi Lancer. This same process can also work for most other vehicles.
I have a lancer 2015 ES (regular) is also automatic. I just want a suggestion im planning to do this on my own and i been doing research on google (i dont have the manual unfortunately) seems the correct CVT trans fluid for my lancer is CVTF-J4 and valvoline cvt full synthetic matches with the same info. IM just wondering if the fluid you used on the video matched with the same information just because its CVT
Do they make heat shields to help with the heat for these
Thanks for posting this, about to try and change my radiator on a 2000 Dodge Van 3500. Haven't done it before and there aren't many videos out there. I need to get one of those drills you were using to loosen all the bolts, much faster than by hand lol. As long as the bolts aren't too rusted! Thanks 👍
I have a 1998 Dodge B1500 Van and I am saving this information for if\when I need it. Thank you.
Good video and explanation for folks like me that don't know much about cars, but can't afford a mechanic every time something breaks. Thanks!

Nice job! Did you have to do anything with that ticking or is that normal for all 2013 Elantras?
Those engines are known for that ticking noise so it’s normal
i have the same 2013 hyundai elantra limited with a pending cylinder 4 misfire at 111k miles. Hoping to save a few bucks just changing the spark plugs which was recommended at 105k in the manual. Thanks for the video!
Hope this video helps you out and let us know if you need any help with your car questions
I have delt with this guy plenty of times in real life. He knows what he's doing when it comes to car repair great guy great service!!!!!
This is CVT fluid not ATF is your car CVT transmission?
Yes it’s cvt transmission
Cvts take transmission fluid. A majority of automatics don’t require any fluids. Mostly older cars and cvts 😂
I always thought you were supposed to drop the pan clean the magnets and change the filter
Ether way is fine it’s preferred to drop the pan and change the filter.
At what millage do you recommend changing the transmission fluid? My car making a high pich sound after driving for a while. It struggles to get up to speed. Im at 89,800 miles.
Most cars at 30k to 60k miles let me know what kinda car that you working with
@@diycarsrepair8796 i own a 2015 Mitsubishi lancer ES. CVT transmission. Thank you for getting back to me.
50k is the best to keep your transmission in best shape possible
@@diycarsrepair8796 what if you don't use your car much and it just has aged but not mileage at what age should it be changed?
How much CVT fluid does it take?
You can use the dip stick to check the level make sure you let the car get to normal temperature then check the level to make sure you on full
Y el filtro? Se puede cambiar
Si no problema, facil. 10mm llave solo.
which Lancer is this ES?
Yes 2010
how many litres?
It’s a 4 cylinder 2L
