As a "warm up" here is the video of Michael Friedman Live at "Grüner Salon" der Volksbühne, Berlin in 2006.
Born in Vancouver and raised in a family of musicians and artists, Michael Friedman began studying piano at age four and was exposed to folk, world, rock and classical music throughout his youth.
At age eleven his family moved to Berlin-East (GDR) where his father enrolled at the Hanns Eisler Conservatory of Music to study Choral Conducting. After a few years of playing professionally in Toronto Michael Friedman would return to Berlin, to receive formal musical training in Guitar and Composition at that same distinguished conservatory.
While based in Germany he toured extensively in Europe, performing in various countries as a solo artist as well as a member of several groups.
Returning to Vancouver, Michael kept a busy schedule writing music scores for T.V. and Film, and giving guitar and song writing instruction and workshops. In 1992, Michael became the Music Director for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's (CBC) “Front Page Challenge” and wrote over 135 compositions for this respected television production.
Michael continuously tours in Canada, USA and Europe in support of several acclaimed solo albums, (1995) and Angst Ridden Writer (1998). Diamond Space, his third solo album has been released as a limited edition and is due for completion in early 2003.
In 2003, Michael signed with united One.music publishing and began collaborating with German cellist and orchestral arranger Jens Naumilkat, taking his original songs to the symphonic stage. Michael has to date performed his works with the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie and the Loh Orchestra of Sondershausen.
Michael was also a member of the fabulous band "FFM" (Friedman, Fortin & Masich) which also signed with united One.music publishing and had a very successful tour (November, 2002 and June, 2003) in Germany and Switzerland.

How is TM doing? Ive been following him since 2011, i must of been about 12 and literally changed my life when i first discovered him, my fashion, my style, the color he brought into my life, i went hour after hour on bass learning everything from just watching him, no lessons no nothing, i always had this dream in my head that when i was good enough i would be invited to namm and meet him at the warwick booth, it got me through the entire death of my mother even, the daydreams of impressing the guy that basically taught me how to play, i couldnt believe what i read cerca 2018 when i noticed he was super quiet on the warwick channels and found out he was down.. damn.. give him the wishes and all the luck from this random guy called Daniel in ireland, whos always been there even if on the other side and will always be!!
