@dkhall1129 You're not being rude at all, also you are right, I've only been studying for about a month. I will be able to watch movies and read newspapers before I move to China. The way that serious language learners should study is illustrated by the actions of the polyglots I referred to in my last comment, check out their videos if you are curious about the way I am going about learning. Conversational learning is way more effective than textbook/classroom learning.

@Buuub08 Thanks for the advice Buuub, I'll try to go to China or Taiwan as soon as I can. I want to move their after a finish school. I've actually been enjoying some mainland China TV shows/movies, subtitled of course. Do you know of Laoshu, gaoyoude1, lingosteve, and poliglotta80's youtube channels? These are all polyglots who've studied or speak Chinese, among many many other languages. If you are interested in languages their channels might interest you.

@Buuub08 Thanks Buuub, I find it interesting that I can't hear the intonation. After my Chinese is better I'll have to revisit Chinese hip hop, since I love hip hop in English.
