Yardburn - Rodeo drumcam
A drumcam from our gig at the Voodoo club in Warsaw. This is the first single from our upcoming record.
Playing this stuff on a completely foreign kit posed a bit of a challenge... My jam block didn't like it either.
The cymbal setup from left to right:
Wuhan 20" china
Meinl classics custom dual hihat 15"
Meinl classics custom dual crash 19" with a 10" splash on top
Meinl byzance dark ride 20"
Meinl classics custom dual crash 20"
Promark 2b sticks
Tama speed cobra pedal
filmed with GoPro 9

mikebiernacki Icon is in my opinion one of the grooviest tracks from Kadinja's album Super 90'. The instrumental - drumless tracks are available at their bandcamp page. This is a single take. No edits, only raw audio from the mic's. Drumset: Yamaha tour custom Tama big black steel snare Cymbals from left to right: Wuhan china 20" Istanbul agop xist dark dry hihat 13" Anatolian me...

mikebiernacki Ten Wasz Świat with Jary Oddział Zamknięty @WOŚP concert in Żagań 28.01.2024. It's always a bit challenging to play in ~0 degrees Celsius - hence the stick drop probably... The other musicians in this clip are: Krzysztof Jaryczewski - vocals Zbigniew Bieniak - vocals Andrzej Potęga - bass Nick Swat - guitar Dawid Pięta - guitar Filmed with GoPro9 Drumset: Yamaha tou...
Playing drums inside these shields can damage a drummer's hearing. I wish this unnecessary practice would go away.
Honestly, i've never noticed that much increase in sound intensity behind the screen. If you're using decent in ear monitors it's negligible. It might be a factor when playing in a small room with a screen or if you're not using any ear protection - then you're doomed anyway... A screen might also protect you from stage noise. But then again it always depends on the paticular setting. I wouldn't say screens are a bad thing. You just need to know when it's worth using it.
Noooooooo
Why’s there a shield thing
I'd think to prevent spill from the venue and other instruments into the mics. Maybe even feedback.
If this was metallica james would have said "we have to start it again???"
Ale jebło xD
Haha what a loser😂
Nawet dobrze z tą chiną to zabrzmiało. :)
That is a “Pro Bro”
Another good reason to not use one of those stupid shields.
they never taught us what to do when the enemy is one of our own...
Czyżby numer Party??
Zgadza się :)
@@michabiernacki2231szkoda, że nie "Jaka to melodia" po samej partii bębnów 😂. Pozdrawiam serdecznie 🔥🥁
@@MikRusek54 akurat partie bębnów na dwóch pierwszych płytach oddziału są tak charakterystyczne, że spokojnie można by zrobić "jaka to melodia" w takim formacie :D pozdrawiam
Nobody's going to talk abt the mic going back to it's original place?🗿
was the crash cymbal already cracked or the shield did that? 0:07
yea it's just an old cracked jazz ride
The crash was still on beat.... Get it... because it was a crash symbol... that crashed...stayed in time.. Kill me.
nice
Why ist there even a shield? Is the audience aggressive or something?
Sometimes... :D but seriously, the shield reduces the bleed of drums into vocal mics
With really loud drums on a relatively small stage, shields make everything sound better.
Tell everyone it was staged ;)
Amazing recovery during something like that. Random question with no offense intended but why are the tom mics shaking like that so much? Honestly the entire thing looks like you were playin on a cruise ship in a hurricane man. Hope non of your stuff was damaged!
Some drum risers are just that bouncy unfortunately. Being heavy footed, as i am, definitely doesn't help with that :D
@@michabiernacki2231 Oh no m8 hell that sounds like a horrid situation to be in. Either way still an impressive as hell way to deal with that! Instant sub
@@C_Shay_77 thanks! much appreciated
Lars ulrich stops mid song becaise he drops a stick. Props to this guy
To be fair, video title says "Drummer" - Lars Ulrich is just a guy hitting stuff in his own measures and tempo.
@@TheFrenchClipperyeah, Lars is a professional extreme avantgarde percussionist
Not sure where you are getting this. He actually has extra drum sticks under his seat for when that happens, and there's footage of him losing sticks and grabbing one from under his seat.
👍
And suddenly your drums immediately sounded better 😜
From camera perspective sure, but now the person running sound is suddenly struggling to make anything audible over the drums 😂
The clatter of the falling cymbals was also in time 😂 🧊
Wow :)
The show must go on!
Credits to the roadie who immediately came to the rescue.
a vigilant tech is a treasure!
0:11 Did a ghost put your snare mic back, wtffffffffff!!!!!!!!
Practicing grooves with ghosts definitely pays off haha
Hence the term: ghost notes lol
@@stefmikolajczyk lmao
wtf
I'm shocked no one said Holy Ghost for this comment
true professional carrying on!
And he didn't even miss a beat :)
Neither did the shield lol
Well played, as it were
Super Michał. Pozdrawiam :)
