Hello Ma'am, I had a question in mind with respect to the noc that I can choose. Lets says in your case you had a MBA in marketing in India and then you did a course in Supply Chain Management. Now, if you get a job in Marketing after completion of your course. Is it ok to gain experience in Marketing or Should you pursue Supply Chain management jobs only for the SINP PNP purpose.

I have observed similar when coming to Canada, mostly from a certain demographic that I have been around. They are very competitive and nosy, I’ve had people ask me directly my salary, I thought ppl knew that those are personal questions you just don’t ask. I’ve learned to be brief and keep it moving.. no long conversations.

Kuchh toh log kahenge- irrespective of you do or don’t do for others!! Yes, people will like you to fail more often than succeed. I had a very close relative telling me( while I was waiting for my PR approval) so what if it does not happen, you always have a home to go back to. These days I feel so hesitant to speak about any success or any big ticket purchase as I really don’t know how they will react!!

Winnipeg has always had a bad reputation as being less desirable than Toronto or Vancouver for as long as I can remember. My family emigrated to Winnipeg in the 1950’s from Germany and I am a first generation Canadian. I’m in my 60’s and lived all my life in Winnipeg. The city does have many advantages that you touched on for people emigrating to Canada. It is known to have a higher crime rate but if you are not living downtown or the “north end “ it is not much of a problem. Most of the suburbs are safe places to live. The weather is much colder than anyone who comes from a place where it never gets cold enough to freeze is used to. Winters are long but the coldest months would be January and February and you will have to deal with snow and ice for sure. The good news is our homes are warm and if you take care to dress in layers it makes going outside more comfortable. The weather is manageable and you do get use to it. I can’t guarantee everyone will be friendly to newcomers but there are many Winnipegers that were one time in there lives the newcomers so I think we are probably more tolerant than many other places.

Working on LMIA work permit in Canada means a great slavery, That too in a country which calls itself very developed and protects the rights of the common man. a slavery which is of a much bigger level than the slavery that people work in in Arab countries, which common people cannot even imagine. The biggest culprit in this is the current Canadian government which has been allowing this type of fraud to continue openly in Canada for many years.

Hello Malz, I appreciate your informative UA-cam videos. I have a query that I hope you can clarify for me. I arrived in August of last year and enrolled in the Hospitality and Tourism Management course at Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Prince Albert campus. I am also enrolled in the second year of the program, which is set to begin on August 28th. In the meantime, I received an opportunity to work as a cook at a restaurant through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). I am considering whether it would be advisable to drop my second-year course plan to pursue this job opportunity. My intention is to gain six months of work experience and subsequently apply for permanent residency under the student stream. With a one-year Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), I am unsure whether it is better to proceed with this plan or to continue with the second year of the program to qualify for a three-year PGWP. Could you please provide guidance on whether it would be more beneficial to take the job and apply for PR or to complete the second year of my program for a longer PGWP? Please answer me! Great videos, God bless you. My question is, you applied student stream, non-express....is the nomiation restricted to the employer in this stream ? I got SINP but is restricted to the employer under Tech-talent...was wondering under what stream can i get a non-employer restricted nomination? Please guide.

No, I am restricted after my PR. But until you I got it, I had to stay with them. Is that what you are asking? I hope I have answered your question.

I don't think so. However, they evaluate a lot of factors in your profile. Your previous experience and studies should be related to the current one you are taking or should enhance your career opportunities.

Politics id say is pretty probably better than Alberta and Saskatchewan, but lifestyle wise, Manitoba is a strange middle ground one. Its worse than Alberta, but better than Saskatchewan. I feel like there isnt Too much to do in Winnipeg, but there are genuinely nice people there.

Mal , you do such a great job telling it the way it actually is for newcomers to Canada. It is the land of opportunity but its not easy for newcomers for the first couple of years. Perseverance is key and success is obtainable. Canada is the land of milk and honey, but you have to milk the cow and collect the honey, it takes work.
