Aikido from headlock and knife threat

Some of mine and my friends adaptations of aikido from being in a headlock and having a knife waved in front of you. As mentioned there are no perfect techniques but for me this is showing some principles about applying aikido.

Love Stuhrling...they are extremely underrated.
I think at the £500 prove point they were a little over priced. But you can get the watch in the video for a very decent price. I get as many comments asking to look at it as I do other watches like my Tissot.
@@martynwilliams4767 I have three Tissots and they are ok watches but nothing special in my honest opinion. Let's be honest, if it were not for 'Swiss-made" badging no one would care for Tissot watches, they are pretty bland. However, Stuhrlings are beautiful watches with a lot of personality, although I wish that Stuhrling would drop the "Original" in their name which cheapens the brand.
Cheap Chinese watch and cheaper movement stay away from these watches and save up and buy a proper swiss watch.
I get the sentiment, whilst they don't overtly advertise it, as said in the video it is a Chinese movement assembled in Switzerland doing the bare minimum to be Swiss made. But it's working well still after a number of years and still gets people asking when they look at it.
Wich movement shall that 883H.02 caliber be in a 120euro watch? Doubt it''s a swiss one
It's a Chinese movement that is assembled in Switzerland to qualify as "swiss". Misleading but not illegal and technically correct
Too thick, not nice body
I returned my Stuhrling watch the same day I received it as this poorly made and horribly designed watch would NOT allow the crown to be screwed in properly so it will protect the mechanism from water. The reason for this horrible mistake is that the two prongs that are located on each side of the crown (for supposedly to protect the crown) were improperly made too tight (too close together) to allow the correct space for the crown to be screwed in properly to make it a decently tight and secure connection to the case. After screwing in the crown as far in as it would possibly go without over-tightening it so not to damage the threads there was an annoying gap between the crown and the case because the 2 prongs were blocking the crown to being screwed any tighter which made me feel very uncomfortable and very nervous. How careless can Stuhrling really be? Unbelievable huge mistake and manufacturing booboo. I will never buy a Stuhrling watch in my lifetime.
Really sorry to hear!! Are you sure it wasn't just a one off issue? It shouldn't happen and get through a quality control process. I have never tested out their customer service side of things but that would be a good test of them I guess.
Why do they call it Stuhrling Original? Are there fake Stuhrlings being made and sold? We dont see Rolex Original being branded even though there are plenty of fake rolex being made and sold. 😂😂😂
No idea, guess it sounds better 🤣
I can't set the date. Can you make a video for clarification?
Can't do a video, but you should have a tool that comes with the watch and the indented button at around 11 is what you push to get the date to move along. If you didn't have a tool then a fork prong or something like that would work.
@@martynwilliams4767 Sir, I do not know the way or not, I do not know which Azara is responsible
I don't know the keys
360p squad where you at!
Video quality is crap mate, wtf...
Ношу такой automatic больше 15 лет . Каждый день. На 10 году заменил застёжку. 🔥
Is there any lume on the watch or is it just on the hands
There is lume on the hour/minute hand and also each hour marker. It's a decent aquamarine type colour and stays visible for a decent time.
@@martynwilliams4767 thank you, mine doesnt have lume on the each hour markers, only on the hands
@@martynwilliams4767my friend has blue carbon version, and also has lume only on the hands
That's odd to hear.
@@martynwilliams4767yes it is,there is a clip here on you tube of carbon version and that model also has no lume on hour markers
Martyns with a Y rule!
Agree 😀
Got this watch for Christmas. Beautiful. However, there doesn't seem to be a second position for the crown to adjust date. Any ideas?
Watched the video all the way through. Discovers the small date button. What an amazingly dumb design feature
Yeah the button confused me as well. But lovely watch still.
The Chrono hand appears misaligned 😱 Hopefully there is a manual alignment reset 🤔 Thanks for the review. I am interested in this watch the murdered out version, but didn’t realize how massive it is..not that I won’t pick it up…but you, I have a 7.75” wrist, your review allowed me to see a couple of things that pictures just don’t reveal. If I could mention..your mic, maybe turn it up a bit or bring it closer to you..I really had to turn the volume up for your vid, compared to others. Cheers
Cheers, sadly I just recorded it on my phone whilst fiddling with the watch. 👍
Also if you below posts, I think the hand is designed misaligned. As when you push the button to start the chrono it moves to perfectly vertical
@@martynwilliams4767 Ha, didn’t see that someone else brought it up as well. I can’t remember where I saw it, but some chronos have the ability to re calibrate..it’s done by pressing the buttons in a certain order. My Seiko is off by a fraction, but unfortunately it will take a re-alignment of the hands to fix…but I know there are watches where you can calibrate without taking out the movement
@@martynwilliams4767 try pulling your crown out as to set the time..then try either your top or bottom pusher see if that happens to move the chrono hand towards centre 🤔
@@canadiankrispybacon1450 I'll give that a go, cheers 👍
30 bucks in myota quartz ...you can't get better for less ,the automatic has too high a price, the competition is too fierce and many have sapphire crystals on all models .but the dial and polish are the big seller here ..
Что ты их крутишь вертишь...
Sorry to say this hasn't translated to English, so no idea what has been said 🤷
I have the identical watch & love it !!
It's a great looking watch
Just bought one to gift. Yellow chrono hand doesn’t reset to twelve. Pretty disappointed
I think you'll find its offset slightly so when you push the start button it moves to 12 exactly.
There is a post further down where it's discussed. Appears a likely design function, yet in promo shots they have it aligned to 12
Start the chronograph when the left sub dial is at 60. This syncs up the chronograph with the watch’s second hand. Then you don’t have to worry about the yellow hand being misaligned at 12
How’s the watch serving you these days?
Still going strong, 1 small scratch on the glass that I want to get polished out. Went to look at getting it serviced but the price was around £250 which considering its value wasn't worth it.
I own one and it is amazing. Great quality. Good clasp. And looks expensive and solid! Best 120$ I've ever spent for watch.
Where did you find it for $120?…
Box looks like a pizza hut box 😂
What is the lug to lug?
Lovely watch, in your video you moved the fingers backwards and forwards I'm sure you are not supposed to move the fingers backwards on an automatic watch could be wrong though
Thank you, I tend to set watches going forward. But general consensus is its fine to wind back. Below is a good link www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/kqit2/i_have_an_automatic_watch_can_i_turn_the_hands/
Wonderful, review. Most useful, thanks.,oh, mineral crystal?
Part of £300. FFS they sell a quartz diver for $65. Get real.
£500 !!!!! R u nuts ??? It is not a professional diver and it does not have a swiss movement. If u want to keep credibility as s reviewer then admit you were done out of the best
It doesn't meet the ISO standard as I state in the video although has the features required of a diver. Dare I say brands like rolex aren't ISO tested (though I imagine they have a more stringent testing procedure). The movement can be called Swiss made as they skirt the legislation by having the bare minimum assembly and testing done in Switzerland. But you right the actual movement in a Chinese seagull one. All of which I believe I state in the video.
Well, I am entitled to my opinion which is the review was not objective rather you were justifying your purchase. £500 buys a lot of watch today especially in the homage world. This watch ? £200 tops
Correct it is your opinion, I'm not saying it's wrong. Just responding to what you brought up around the two points. Some of the other comments are from people who own them. Some people who own it agree. One doesn't and then a few people who don't own it have opinions either way.
Great words, terrible images. Get a better camera/phone.
You're spot on, sadly use my phone on a camera mount. Don't intend to buy more watches so no requirement to spend money on a better camera. Had I thought about it I'd have cut some still images in for people to get a better view of it.
The bigger the watch, the manlier it is. If you can handle it.
Fair point, happy at 6'4" 100kg it sits happy on my wrist. 😉
Recorded on a potato
Eh?
is this the same as xiaomi ciga watch z series?
Xiaomi are a different brand, so without doing some research I'd say no as a starting point
@@martynwilliams4767 wow means xiaomi is copying this Ciga Products? my thou is Xiaomi take over Ciga brand maybe
So doesn't state directly xiaomi own ciga. But appears they are possibly linked to them, see below article www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_introduces_tseries_ciga_design_mechanical_watch-news-38234.php
Found a better answer with some digging 👍 cigadesign.co.uk/pages/about
Is that really swiss movt? ETA or?
It's not an eta movement. From. Research its a Chinese sourced movement but enough of it is assembled/constructed/calibrated in Switzerland for it to be deemed Swiss. This is a bit of a work around to get that title, but does also mean it has to meet the requirements for that title. If that makes sense? I can't remember the exact Chinese brand used but if you Google deep enough you can find it. I would add stuhrling aren't the only brand to do this. Dare I say I'm sure plenty of Swiss movements have parts mass-produced in china and shipped over to other counties to assemble.
@@martynwilliams4767 nice info.. i've search in google before but i couldn't found the literature about this movt.. i have 2 watches with chinese movt, and the accuracy aren't good, but if its calibrated in swiss maybe they have good accuracy
@@hedihadian283 I recall in the research I did it was a seagull movement. This below link confirms my recollection chinesewatchwiki.net/Stuhrling_Original
My Tissot PRS516 automatic red didn’t come with a date puncher did y’all’s come with one ?
I had to ask the store to give me one as they forgot to put it in. (have to admit I got home and was trying to set the date and then realised how to hence contacting the store)
@@martynwilliams4767 bro thank you so much
The bezel insert looks a bit off. Doesn't line up between the 12 and 6. Quite disappointing at that price point don't don't think?
Must be the angle or maybe it was a click off, had a look at it today when lined up the top indicator sits at 12 and the 30 sits perfectly at 6
Hello good sir. Liked your review. Hope you are doing great. I was wondering, how is the watch going now, after 1 year. Thank you 😊
Watch is going great thank you, hasn't caused me an issue at all, still holds time well. Few scuffs but holds up to regular wearing well.
It is a beutiful watch man. I do not understand why the watch community is so toxic. I have had arguments over people talking smack about the analog casio frogman which ia arguably a japanese wonder of technology and art! So don't let people talk your watch down. For the price it seems like a good buy!
Thanks mate, I can't afford crazy money for watches, so I look for ones that catch my eye. This one certainly did.
The Movements's finish is at the level of entry level Sea-gull's,so Parnis at double the price. So I am guessing that's why (design price) .
Did you get this from Hour Passion at Bicester Villagr?
Yes that's where I got it from.
the straps looks cheap like who speaks in the video
I think you're agreeing with the comments? I didn't like the straps that came with it. They all looked cheap especially the leather one.
the good machine thaks to thanks
Great review & look forward to mine arriving. I opted for orange as a bit of a statement piece, but didnt consider the red. Wondering whether you could share the link for that alternative stainless steel band?

Perfect, much appreciated!
Pleas Hold the Watch still !
Sorry, its a good point. I should probably cut a still into the videos, or have it mounted when I talk.
Never had a Sturlinhg before. Still not sure if they’re worth the investment
I have to say it's one of my go to watches. I can't fault how it looks and feels on. I think the Swiss automatic movement is a little misleading as its a Chinese movement shipped over and tweaked just enough to qualify. But mine has been faultless since I bought it. And turns just as many heads as my tissot. If that helps?
@@martynwilliams4767 it does. Appreciate your input
If your in the states they ship from there but are mail order only I think. Sure you'll be able to get a discount. Once you log onto their site they will send you lots of emails and discount promos. Good luck
What a POS if the 2nd wheel is bs aesthetic wheel. It’s way thicker than it should be also
It is quite a chunky watch. But I'm ok with that as I'm a big lad. It isn't 100% confirmed the second wheel is aesthetic but from everything I have seen I'm fairly confident it is. I guess after that it boils down to if you like the look or not.
Handsome watch!
Thank you, have to say it's one that even now catches my eye. I'd strongly recommend looking at this and the aqua marine one they do. Great colour faces and good sturdy watch.
how thick is it?
So I don't have a caliper but using a tape measure and I'd estimate it around 16mm
Hi Martyn, good review 👍🏼 Quick question, did you have to pay any import tax/duty with using Indiegogo or do they pay that at they end? And how long were you waiting for shipment?
Shipment wise I did wait around 3 to 4 months. But I bought when the pandemic was in full effect. From the offset they were honest about shipping being delayed. Once I had a DHL number it was around a week. And that has prompted the memory I did pay tax as it was to DHL direct.
Thank you bro 😎 Um... how much that watch?
It was £1700, not sure this model is around anymore. They do it with a black and red or blue strap.
$680 on Jomashop right now. I bought mine from a friend for $300.
Wich one should i buy the Invicta or this one, similar price range.
Afraid I don't own an invicta so can't offer advice. I would say I have no hesitation in recommending the stuhrling. As long as you know what your buying. It turns heads to people that see it and has proven sturdy and reliable.
How is the Lume?
I would say the intensity is fairly average. It doesn't last as others that I own. It is fairly easy to read, I'm not a diver so can't comment on how well it would perform in that capacity, I'd imagine not the best in its class.
aluminum bezel?
Can't comment as the only info I have is from the manufacturer. I'd test it with a magnet..... But clearly that is a bad idea. They state the metal used is stainless steel, so I'd have to go with that.
Is it me or does the chronograph second hand not line up perfectly with the 12 o’clock hour marker? Is that by chance “micro” adjustable with that movement?
I'll have a good look later, it's never appeared that way to me.
Your right, it does appear ever so slightly off set. Only noticeable once it's pointed out. I imagine it coukd be adjusted by someone with know how.
So I played around, as you depress the button to start the timer it moves the hand to the exact zero position. In essence at the point you press the button it will be aligned. Prior to that it is off set by one click. Thought it would be an odd oversight for what is otherwise such a well made watch. Hope that helps 👍
@@martynwilliams4767 I ordered this exact watch from Jomashop (great price btw). It arrived a few days ago and guess what... mine is exactly the same as yours. That Chrono second hand appears to set ever so slightly off from the center until you press the start button. I was wondering if this movement has some way to micro adjust the position of that hand. So I think it’s one of three possibilities. A) it’s a hand alignment issue, B) it’s an hour marker alignment issue, or C) it’s simply a design characteristic (flaw?) of this watch. Either way it’s a killer watch and imo doesn’t take away from its beauty and functionality.
See I think on reflection it's designed that way, so if imagine as the car or what ever drive over a line for the speed check. As it hits the line you depress the button.. So the car is on the line and the timer moves one click and is on zero. That way the timing is accurate. That's how I see it. Especially if both your watch and mine has same design
