(ASL) We interview potter Linda Fletcher, our January 25, 2025 Arts Saturday visual artist.
Linda A. Fletcher has been making art since she was old enough to use a box of Crayola crayons. She started taking oil painting lessons when she was 8 years old; but in high school she got her hands on clay for the first time and knew this would be her chosen medium. Twelve years later she found the pottery studio at the Nashua Center for the Arts and spent several years taking classes from various teachers and eventually started teaching there. This job led to meeting someone looking for a pottery teacher for Bishop Guertin High School where she has been teaching for 28 years. During this time, she attended the NH Institute of Art and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She continues to create in clay, working in her home studio in Manchester, NH. She has been a juried member of the League of NH Craftsmen and a longtime member of the NH Potters Guild where she is currently the Co-chairperson as well as part of the Education and Empty Bowls committees.

They are only going back to grandparents not great grandparents right?
Pure and Beautiful translation of gratefulness and longing. 🪈
Mischlinge master race
*A German concept not a Jewish one* if you are born of a Jewish mother, or a convert, you are a Jew. Not 50% not 33-1/3rd per cent, you are a Jew. It's shameful that there exist Jewish people who apply this concept because they didn't read the damn manual (Torah).
Alright, this may be a dumb question, but why is there a sign language interpreter for a video about music?
I don't know what is, but is not Samba Since there is no clave is a melange of everything How we can call that? Nuclear fussion?😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's possible they could have made it back if they turned around and got to tree line.
Your music is beautiful, soothing, and inspiring, Ari. Thank you so much for sharing it.
This is wonderful
YES Diana this is wonderful
Outstanding
Marcus is an amazing person. I play in a batucada in Milwaukee that uses Marcus' samba compositions. We've brought him to Milwaukee many times to teach us, and he's so much fun! He's an amazing teacher and wonderful person all around.
Stunning! Tanya expresses the oneness of her art, the science, her exploration of her gift so beautifully! I'm honored to have her cosmos piece here in my home, a treasure!
Very beautiful and deeply touching. Many thanks.
I love Tanya's work. It's so soft and lovely and evokes such a sense of natural beauty. I have pottery and fabric art from Tanya!

I still dont understand ..to this day why Hitler hates Jews..soo..much...they are highly intelligent and resourceful...they do have a reputation of being shrewd and careful...but they are special...Gods...chosen ones....mabe some were horrible..to him..like did not give him a job??
Because they were Genocidal and were committing Loxist Reticide towards the Aryan White Race

Such a fascinating conversation about cultural, political shift and seeing the beauty in conversations. Love it!
This is an excellent, informative interview with Jaqueline Dembar Greene. I'll be looking for some of her non-fiction books.
это просто замечательно!!!😊
здорово!!!😊
beautiful!
Wonderful pieces. Tom is an artist.
le traitement du son est mauvais.. c'est très dommage.. l'artiste lui est très bon.
I'm sorry that the sound quality was disappointing. Unfortunately, this is what the artist provided.
What a phony, nasty piece of work. What have you done for humanity? Certainly not write well.
Great interview.
“Ideas are everywhere.” The stories David Daniel writes prove he practices what he preaches. He shares not just mesmerizing tales but how to produce same-good luck to those of us who attempt the craft.
She’s wrong about the dress. I could flip the colors back and forth and wasn’t alone in that.
I just don’t get why grown women must still try to tear each other down in the most backhanded ways. As a grown up, educated woman you think she’d be able to speak honestly to Dawn about how her posts etc were making her feel. America is so obsessed with racial politics… I think people need to just chill out and stop making social wars between various social groups like they tend to. In Australia there are so many diverse and mixed race people… we celebrate the beauty in people’s different cultures more! As a second generation Japanese Australian I know this to be true from my perspective as well.
I will rejoice on the day we celebrate our diversity as well. It is our wealth.
Mockery, gaslighting, and bullying also keep us apart, wouldn't you say? There's no shame in finding someone's behavior sanctimonious, narcissistic, or racist, or in satirizing it. But writing a story as undisguised and as flagrantly shaming of a living person as yours first was, then gaslighting the person when they confront you, and then assuming that you'll get away with it because the other mean girls (and boys) will stand behind you: that's pretty cringeworthy.
Found this interview after reading the NYT article. I suspect "someone else" may have been lurking during the live presentation. 😏 Looking forward to reading Larson's works.
Same! 'Someone else" has likely already updated her FB posts about this interview/reading.
Is that kinda like lurking on someone's FB page to gather material?
@@thefabulousgreenbean2194 Somewhat, but without the expectation of ceaseless praise and lauding.
@@danielx555 Laughable. Doubt she's worried.
I fail to understand how someone so talentless and cruel is worthy of being interviewed. The prose was bad.
excellent interview!...stumbled upon this author doing a bit of research of my own into the names and locations of bars in ballston spa during the late sixties and early seventies...found lots of bottles back then in dumps in the woods..people would incinerate or dump or use refuse for filler in concrete pours...anyways, it's a long story that may be uncorked at some juncture...as soon as i can keep from continuing to look too long at deconstructed concrete stairs...i was going to say staring at the stairs but didn't want to be apparent of redundancy or fall from steps ..someone might feel inclined to stare!;<)
Such an amazing concert, Thatcher! Bravo!
Not that I'm neck deep in this whole Bad Art Friend stuff, but here I am. For research.
The ranger should have went out hunting on a mountain for two people that when you last saw them hours ago were totally fine. I hope you reported him to his supervisor. This behavior can't go on unpunished. Looking forward to a story about a Park Ranger of color who's life of working in the visitors center, patrolling the park, etc, can be woven into a thoughtful narrative about race in modern America.
a bunch of funking animals eating each other. like seriously, robbing a story. i mean, couric just ruined her legacy. youre a theif. go figure
