i just brought this product and want to fit it into my front door. the door is 70 mm thick and without a extensionbracket the flap have 70 mm thick tunnel. Do you think i need to buy a extantion bracket and saw it of for just like 5 mm to be edge to edge to the outside mounting bracket? cheers for a good mounting video!

just a note: that was not a composite door.. composite doors are solid core alike fire doors and hard to cut.. thats why there more expensive... regards mick

That's really thick glass! Meanwhile we couldn't do that because all our blinds are like internal shutters. They'd have to be totally open and that wouldn't work at a door.

you NEVER want the screws on the outside of such a thing. For the total hole is big enough for a small adult.

Some people have endless amounts of cash when it comes to their pets. A few years ago I was paid £13k to renovate a garden and half the budget went to making an escape proof design for their cats.

Interesting unique job enjoying your content, a bit unnerving fitting the dog flaps due to size. Wondering if you have a uk supplier for upvc frame mouldings that aren’t produced anymore as I have 2 broken strips on a conservatory but it’s over 15yrs old and the frame numbers are no help.

Curious why you did not go one course of bricks lower on the second installation. It looked like you had room to do so i.e 3 inches. If it impeded on the skirting inside a little, you could have notched out the top of the skirting with your Multitool if necessary. The cut would be hidden by the plastic internal frame.

Looking good. How come you started from the outside with the pilot hole in the first one? Would have though it is always easier to get the internal placement just right if you pilot from inside then continue on from outside.
