Indonesia Calling! 4/8 (eng.translation)
The World Upside Down
When the Germans invaded the Netherlands in May 1940, Hans Goedkoop's grandfather was on extended leave in The Hague. He refuses to sign a German declaration of loyalty and is taken to the German prisoner of war camp Colditz. As a result, he has little experience of what happens in his native Dutch East Indies, where life under the Japanese occupation changes completely in a few years. The Dutch population disappears into camps or performs forced labor. Indonesians also have to deal with forced labor and hunger. Yet Indonesians also derive hope from the Japanese. Is colonial rule in the country coming to an end for good?

Another 300 years In the Dutch East Indies, the authorities want peace and prosperity, but in the 1930s things were brewing in the colony. There is an economic crisis, workers are being laid off en masse. National Socialism is rising, but also nationalism among Indonesians. A young engineer, Sukarno, openly denounces the colonial government. His political supporters are punished with exile to a...

Same event and racial oppression occurred between the United States and Mexico following their war in 1846, systems of oppressive Jim Crow laws, violence, and hostile environments pushed these Mexican territories to be of the highest crime rates, highest incarceration rates of Latinos, and only a skeleton of what they used to be. Like South Africa, the northern Mexico states like California and Texas since their occupation by American forces, has yet to yield a single Mexican or Latino as governor, neither to have equal representation in government positions. This was not by accident, and the goal was to conquer Mexico, a compete subjugation as they said . In a review of the Mexican war and as a statement recorded by politicians to “ "Go not for peace, but for conquest and subjugation,-a real bona fide war, which supports itself and seizes on the enemy's treasure. We go for giving the Mexicans hell, whether Christ be our guide or not. War, vigorous, devastating, unrelenting war, is the only resource, and it is to be hoped that the Mexicans will be made to experience it. Unless we distress the Mexicans, carry destruction and loss of life to every fireside, and make them feel a rod of iron, they will not respect us. “The tide of emigration will set towards Mexico, and the imbecile race that now inhabits that country is as sure to melt away at the approach of Anglo-Saxon energy and enterprise as snow before a southern sun. Their fate will be similar to that of the Indians of this country--the race, before a century rolls over us, will become extinct” - New York Herald James Gordon While smaller in casualty and less numbers deployed as in older savage European conflicts, it was a bad example of government policy, and unjust aggression aimed at Mexico and its territory, and one that would reduce the reputation of the United states rather than raise it. It would be one of the worst examples of civilized societies and governments stopping as low as possible because they could, and would shame New Zealand’s colonial conquerors in hearing of the acts, events, and aims of the United states conquest of Mexico. It was a war and event that had no moral justification, no legal authority, and zero benefit to the profession of the United States and humanity, as the sole motive of the war and expansion of territory was to expand slavery, make a slave trade darker and more devastating than the African slave trade, and to upset the free and fair institutions and processes that makes the United States and its open free and fair democratic governments, it was a planting class in the south trying to corner the country and politics for their benefit, and while it worked, they received their full helpings in the civil war which destroyed the south and their confederacy.

Orang pribumi (3)

Thank you so much for all of the Documentaries that you're posting but especially for this Series I'm such a huge History Buff & i think that this period in European History is such a crucial one because of all what happened during this Time The Reformation & the fight between the old Nobility against the King & them being Allies with the Merchants & Burgeousie It's such a turbulent violent but also exciting Time of new Ideas & Alliances that has had a huge impact on Europe as a whole Is there a Dutch Documentary about the Time of Louis XIV & William of Orange? It would be awesome if there's one because it would be a continuation of the 80 Years War I haven't seen all of the ones you already posted It's probably the ones about 1672 If you can let me know Thank you again!

😮Daun salam 13 biji Kunyit 1 bulatan Temu lawah 2 cm Jahe satu ruas Serrai 1 batang.
