Perfect Vinyl Boat Registration Numbers & Letters Application
Переглядів 44 тис.4 роки тому
LETTER KIT: amzn.to/3iB8EBI GREEN TAPE: amzn.to/3g0qZ9H This is the best way to apply vinyl boat registration numbers with a little bit of prep work to get perfectly straight and aligned numbers every time. Use green, low tack painters tape. I did this same process with blue tape for my dinghy letters and it was much harder to transfer the letters.
I'm juanout to do thos on my new paint job and was freaking about how I was going to line up all these individual letters. Thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!
This is genius! Thank you. Just tried this method . Works perfectly .
This video is pulling some major weight for your “how to” channel
Thanks!
Genius! I’m doing this tomorrow. Thank you so much!

Great video. Saved me, thanks
Thank you for the tip, worked very well for me. Great video.
Great idea and great video. I was going to wing it and try to line up the letters and numbers but this makes things easier for sure. TY
I tried this on jet ski w tighter spaces and failed…. So resorted to using PPF technique by spraying soapy water under decal that allowed me to move the letters around to align perfectly - worked to perfection…
did the soapy water affect adhesion down the line? im trying to add my registration numbers to my new boat and i have individual ones without a backing and i want it to look nice while also being quality. let me know 😂
@@de4ndre3dwards Zero effect - used this method for both car and jet ski - so if you mix one part baby shampoo like J&J brand and 5 part water it will come out perfect.
Very helpful, thanks!
Thank you!! Awesome!!!
Thanks for this great tip, I’ll be putting my registration stickers tomorrow.
Looks great! Thanks for capturing the process. Going to give it a go today out of the wind. 😀
Nice work.
Looks great gonna give it a shot today thanks for the tips👍
Hi. Any idea if blue painters tape will work in place of the green that you used? I'm concerned about being able to peel back the tape and have the letters remain on the boat!
I used blue when I transferred my dinghy registration letters and the blue seemed to be more sticky than the green and did make it a little more challenging to pull off the tape without the vinyl coming off with it but if you’re careful it can work.
@@chrisgregoire5875 True---worked fine!
Dude, thank you for this. You have saved my day.
Nice!
I had no idea how I was going to put my registration on and meet my self imposed standard of perfection. Going to finish my tea, say a prayer for patience and give it a shot. You’re a good teacher. Thank you.
Thanks for the help. My wife and I used your video today and the results look great. Very useful tips.
