So glad I heard about this episode! There is an enormous amount of what people really love about Mike that came through. How often do we get a chance to hear this kind of content and perspective from people who make our cities better and raise the tide of an industry that impacts so many lives from so many different angles? Thanks for a great show!
Incredible artist. Incredible woman.
I used to live in the same rental where Dauber lived upstairs from me, I used to love sitting in the basement watching him freehand WW2 plane panels while I did laundry, One of the coolest people I've ever met in the strange journey that's been my life
PLD 💯💯💪
Inspired is like listening from the other room but not seeing anyone!
Juliet and I have some VERY similar backgrounds! It's amazing how much of a difference it can make when your higher-ups encourage you to succeed.
I was in Ohio for work for a couple months a year or so ago and was ended up calling Red Stewart’s field to see if I could get my first hour of tailwheel instruction. The problem, as I told the lady on the phone, was that even though I own a ratty old spamcan and fly it pretty good, I didn’t have my logbook or my pilot’s license card with me. “No problem,” she said. The office is a delight. The tables are stacked with books - good ones, not the glossy coffee table warbird stuff - and stick-and-tissue free flight models are hanging from the ceiling, which is as it should be at all airports. The balsa model that really caught my attention was a rubber-powered model of Duane Cole’s Taylorcraft. My instructor was a younger fellow whose name I sadly didn’t write down and can’t remember. He was excellent. I went back to my home field and got my tailwheel endorsement in just a few hours. I couldn’t have a higher opinion of an airfield than I do Red Stewart’s. Really wish I could have met him.
Great little airport, except for one flight instructor. He doesn't appear to be there anymore. Good for the airport.
🎉🎉🎉
Great video. Don sure seems to be a wonderful old soul person. I have played and owned vintage and modern mandolins from the best builders in the world and his are certainly among the very best.
This person should write a book what he said is so true, about loving yourself and others. Not being influenced by outside forces ,dictating how ,you live.....

Thank you to Ann Rotolante, producer, and the ThinkTV team for presenting this quality, impactful story regarding the birthplace of the nation’s aviation and aerospace industries-The Wright Company factory buildings, Dayton, Ohio. We appreciate the collaboration between Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park (DAHNHP), National Aviation Heritage Alliance (NAHA), Scott Hull Associates (SHA) and Visual Marketing Associates (VMA) to help facilitate this production.
I have owned three different Red Diamond mandolins. Amazing instruments!
it reminds me of scrimshaw, but in reverse.
I still have my Don MacRostie video, mandolin building. A great source of information, and a Great document to watch. Thank you Don for your knowledge!
The art throughout the building is absolutely wonderful! Thank you for supporting so many local artists throughout the Miami Valley!❤
Thank you for supporting local artists and giving so much back to the community! Your the best!
Art is healing in many ways.
Did you buy the Art-o-mat or make your own?
What a fantastic show, filled with great information and inspiration! Thank you to everyone who made this possible! I thoroughly enjoyed it! The time flew by! 🎨 🎭 😍 🤩
Wow! I get shivers from watching this. ❤️My heart sings and I’m feeling truly blessed to be an owner of a Red Diamond mandolin. Don McRostie is the man, and this documentary is a very graceful portrait. Thank you!
Thanks for the great documentary folks! So honored to have been a part 🙏🤠
Great conversation
The captions are killing me. I love this idea though, I'm looking for vending machines that work well with small boxes and a cigarette vendor is a wonderful idea.
a fine, well-done video. i recall seeing Khalid Moss at the original Gilly's club. he was already a very 'deep' player and I couldn't understand why so few people were paying any attention to him. as he explained in the video he was playing for free, which eliminated him from being taken seriously. years later, i was pleased to see him TV working with Betty Carter!
Long Time, Jon. How are you ? Am the boy as a translator for 2003 Fuzhou International City Sculpture Exhibition, used to be named as Bird. Have you got any idea ?
Well done Tiffy, I remember you from Wakie 😊
we're the best 😎
I made my own five set of scratch tools with thumbtacks and then plug them into empty pen cylinders and file the tips to the way I wanted them it works quite well I’ve achieved some really beautiful pieces like that
Amazing!

Muy buen video tuvo que estar espectacular en directo.

I loved seeing the picture of young Ben at the piano. That warmed my heart today. And it warms my heart the way Phil and Susan have set up this scholarship fund. I know Ben is so happy to have this legacy and impact on kids. He really was a beautiful soul.

Omg! I miss quest so much. Me and my best friend Bella used to go there :)
We love his work and have been a big fan for decades.
Why did they race swap David Brown, Verna Fields and Shari Rhodes? These were real people who played an integral part of the production of Jaws. They aren't fictional. Another example of how sick Hollywood is with politics and idealogy. I mean, would you do the same with JFK or Martin Luther King!? Its ridiculous
CONGRATULATIONS!!
I just passed the Billboard for Bruce at the Seattle rep!
This is beautiful and touched my heart ❣️Keep expressing and creating and telling the story which intertwines us all. Much respect and appreciation for what you do 💝
Rest in peace, Khalid Moss.
Always brilliant Richard Oberacker!!
Beautiful. I like the medium. Time consuming
