amen! for those who don't believe: God exists. Created means “bring something into existence” The universe was brought into existence, it was created. It must have a creator. It would be a lie if I said my house has no builder. Creation has a creator. The Bible is not written as a fairy tale. “Jesus went down to the harbor and sprinkled healing dust on the blind man.” no it's “Jesus spat in the dirt put it on his eyes, then washed his eyes off in the pool of shalom, and he was healed.” Jesus was a historical figure. Josephus wrote about Jesus, John the Baptist, and James, mainly about how Pontius pilot executed Jesus on the cross. He wasn’t one of the 500 eyewitnesses. The Babylonian Talmud, written by Jewish rabbis, contains references to Jesus, albeit in a critical context. Pliny the Younger, a Roman governor, wrote about early Christians and their practices. Mara bar-Serapion, a Syrian philosopher, indirectly mentions Jesus in a letter to Serapion’s son. Jesus has 9 non-Christian sources that wrote about him. Outside of the Bible, Jesus had 33 Christian sources that wrote about him. That would make 42 sources about Jesus How he died and rose again. The disciples wrote about their encounters with Jesus, describing how they witnessed him living a sinless life, casting out demons, and healing the sick. They also wrote about how Jesus claimed to be God in the flesh, (John 10:30, John 8:58, Matthew 4:7, Matthew 14:33, Matthew 18:9, Hebrews 1:8, and Titus 2:13.) They then wrote, and preached how Jesus died on the cross and was placed in a tomb for three days, leaving them confused. However, Jesus then appeared to 500 people, including the disciples, who went on to preach the gospel of Jesus' resurrection (THE GOSPEL: John 14:6, Matthew 28:6, Acts 2:38, Matthew 7:21-23, Mark 9:47, Luke 8:28, Romans 3:23, and Romans 6:23). They warned that not putting one's faith in Christ would result in going to hell, but also that Jesus gave us a gift of eternal life. The fact that the disciples were willing to die for their beliefs and did not back out of their teachings shows, that their accounts were not lies. Saint Peter: Crucified upside down in Rome. Despite such a vast and complex history, the Bible contains no true contradictions. Any “contradictions” are translational errors or different perspectives. Person 1 “Officer, when the car crashed I heard the brakes screech.” person 2 “Officer, when the car crashed I heard a woman scream.” That wasn’t a contradiction, but it was a different perspective. The Dead Sea Scrolls, have been found to align up to 99% with the Old Testament. Remember they were written in BC, not AD. Imagine if one person wrote a book with 63,779 cross-references they would be a master author. Let alone, the Bible contains 66 books with 40 authors and an unparalleled level of coherence and consistency, over 1,500 years across three continents and three languages. Jesus fulfilled 300 - 570 prophecies we’ll go with 435. His ride into Jerusalem: Zechariah 9:9, and John 12-14 Rejection of His people: Isaiah 53:3, and John 1:10-11 Silence before his accusers: Isaiah 53:7, and Mark 15:5 The Soldiers Divided His Garments and Cast Lots for His Clothes: psalms 22:17-18, and John 19:23 None of his bones were broken: numbers 9:12, and John 19:31-37 Pierced hands and feet: Psalms 22:14-16, and Luke 24:39 Jesus died for our sins: Isaiah 53:1-6, and 1 Peter 2:24 He was put in a rich man's tomb: Isaiah 53:9, and Matthew 27:57-60 The grave couldn’t hold him: Psalms 16:10, and Matthew 28:6 Jesus is at the right hand of God: Psalms 110:1, and Hebrews 10:12-13 The Bible is not like the telephone game. These are the number of manuscripts and the time gaps between the authors and their manuscripts. - Pliny the Younger: 10 manuscripts, a time gap of 750 years - Julius Caesar: 7 manuscripts, a time gap of 1,000 years - Plato's Tetralogies: 20 manuscripts, a time gap of 1,200 years AD - New Testament: 24,663 manuscripts, a time gap of 50 years - Gospel: 4 manuscripts, time gap of 50-90 years Jesus’ manuscripts have a time gap of 50-90 AD, yet Pliny, Caesar, and Plato’s manuscripts have a time gap of 750 - 1,200 years, yet no one questions them, but everyone questions Jesus, with a time gap of 50-90 years and the 24,663 manuscripts of the new testament. Summary: My text discusses the existence of God and argues that the universe must have had a creator. It also highlights the historical evidence of Jesus' existence and the accounts of his life, death, and resurrection as documented in the Bible and by other sources. My text also emphasizes the coherence and consistency of the Bible, the fulfillment of prophecies by Jesus, and the reliability of the manuscripts that document his life.

Hey, I like the Children's Bible. We are, after all, only children. I have good news. Jesus never died. It's true. Jesus "appeared" to die. He never actually died. You have never actually died. Neither have I. I know that takes a second to sink in...so...slow down...listen to what i'm saying...you are ETERNAL. God would never let ANY of His Children die. Each one is LOVED and CHERISHED. You are as well. God knows that the world is in a very strange place. You are doing your best. I can tell. Just remember. The crucifixion did not kill Jesus. No one can kill Jesus. No one is ever going to "kill" you. That would be impossible. So keep up the Good Work. I like your Bible. It's better. God tells the story the way a Good Father always does. All good children's books begin..."Once upon a time... ...then there is a LOVE story between a King and a Queen... ...and the story ENDS like any fairy tale...just like you know... ..."and they ALL lived HAPPILY ever after." So it IS. So it SHALL be. Forever and ever. Amen.
