Dear Human Resources / Corporate Human Resources Director, I Am A Former Employee Of The Home Depot. I Was Rehired At Store #1747, As A Cashier, On April 11, 2022 After A 10+ Year Absence. In The Previous Few Years, I Have Talked With Current Home Depot Associates & They All Encouraged Me To Apply Because Things Were "So Much Better Than Before", But They Weren't. On My First Day Of "Training", No "New Hire" Onboarding Paperwork Was Done. I Was Told I Would Have To Complete That Paperwork Through The "My Apron Workday" Application. On Day 1 Of Training, All I Did Was Watch New Hire Videos On Store Procedure & Classes Pretaining To The Cashier Position. The Second Day Of Training, The PR Rep Wasn't Even On Duty That Day. I Didn't Receive My First Paper Paycheck Until The Next Tuesday After Payday. Human Resources In Atlanta Told Me The Paper Check Was Issued, But Never Sent To Me Because They "Did Not Have My Address". I Am Guessing That If All Of My Onboarding Paperwork Was Completed, Then That Issue Wouldn't Have Happened...But I Don't Know. The HR Rep At Store #1747, A Young Lady Named "Regina", Must Not Be Aware Of Onboarding Procedures. I Was Never Told Anything About Receiving A Paper Check. When HR Sent Me A Replacement Check,, I Asked About The Alledged First Paper Check, & "Regina" Told Me It Was Sent To The Store. The HR Representative In Atlanta Assured Me Any Paper Check Would Be Mailed To The Associates Home Address. I Did Ask About That Paper Check. I Was Assured That The New Associate Paper Check Was Not Sent To The Store. If HR In Atlanta Tell Me They Send Out The New Associate Paper Checks To The Home Address, Then Why Did "Regina" Tell Me It Was Sent To The Store. Yesterday, Friday, April 29, 2022, My Original Schedule Had Me On Duty From 3pm - 10pm. At Some Point, Before Yesterday, My Schedule Was Changed, But I Wasn't Notified. My Understanding When Hired Was I Could Print Out Each Schedule For The Upcoming Weeks. When I Asked About My Schedule Change, I Was Told I Had To Have An App That Would Have Sent Me A Notification For Any Schedule Changes. The Problem With All Of This Is An Extreme Lack Of Communication Between Management & Everyone Applicable Not Knowing The Correct Procedures. Accepting That Cashier Position @ 1747 Was The Worst Decision I Have Ever Made. I'm Sorry To Have To Say That, But Do The Circumstances Surrounding The HR Representative Not Doing What They Were Supposed To On Day 1 & Not Being Given The Correct Information Relating To Paycheck Procedures, It Created A Domino Effect Of Bad Situations. Everything In A Home Depot Is Connected, All Of These Things I Have Shared With You Proves That. I Am Sharing All This With You Is Because Maybe HD Corporate Will Step In & Fix Ignorance Like This, Maybe So This Doesn't Happen To Someone Else. I Am Not Sharing This Because I'm Trying To Get My Job Back - I Resigned Yesterday Evening, Friday, April 29, 2022. Up Until Yesterday, My State & Federal Tax Documents Had Not Been Completed. I Had To Call HR In Atlanta To Ask Them How To Find The Tax Documents On My Apron Workday. The HR Representatives In Atlanta Have Given Me Better Information & Guidance Than "Regina" Had. I Know It Sounds Wierd That I'm Taking The Time To Share All This With You, & Not Want My Job Back. I Am Sharing All This With You Because Maybe This Will Hep Someone In The Future. As Bad As Need A Job, Resignation Isn't What I Wanted To Do, I Had To Do. I Guess GOD Doesn't Want Me Affiliated With The Home Depot. I Hope This Will Help Someone In The Future.
