An Interview With Jon Bisset at River Valley Ranch
Переглядів 38421 день тому
River Valley Ranch is a well known and loved camp for children to connect with nature. If the proposed MPRP transmission line project is allowed through, River Valley Ranch will suffer greatly. Unfortunately the audio is a bit messed up in this one, I think it was an issue with our microphones.

There is a Kentucky coffee tree near the intersection of St. Pauls Rd and Shaffer Mill Rd. It is just north, to the left at the bottom of the hill where the road crosses Muddy Creek.

Argh that’s horrible. I hope this will be stopped!
Image if the 500kv transmission line suddenly have "power surge" issue.
Love this for the bees, but we are highly allergic to ragweed in our house!
I am watching this after the proposed line was released by PSEG? Is Gaver Farm in harms way?
@@apjo090305 unfortunately the Gaver farm is still affected by the proposed final line.
What a great place to visit! This is one of the few family farms left. A must to visit!
Where is that located, just in general. Wondering if its an allegheny or an ozark chinkapin.
@@adamredden2007 Baltimore County Maryland
Good points!
Great point that everyone in Maryland will be paying the taxes!
Nothing is green about MPRP. It will displace the people that are green.
So many trees will be lost. Hundreds of years of forest growth gone.
Destroying more of the horse industry in a state known for its horse businesses. So sad😢
There were 4 people from this family in the video. What people don’t see is all the other people they mentioned that lived there and live there now. Farms are about families and families staying together.
So sorry for your stress
Thank you so much. It is terrible. My mother was rushed to hospital for heart attack and turned out panic attack from this stress. This proposal comes thru our home my father built over 50 years ago 😢
@@eastcoastthermals Goes through mine too. I moved here 40 years ago and built on to the original house quite a bit.
Meanswhile PSEG says that no homes are in the proposed pathway🙄 Are you in the same route as us here near the Union Mills homestead? Been so stressful awaiting our fates. It is so wrong on so many levels. 🤬
@@eastcoastthermals I am in Baltimore County at the start of this mess. My son is Brandon Hill.
Brandon has done a phenomenal job. Very much appreciate his efforts.
• The horse industry contributes $2.9 billion annually to Maryland’s economy, showing a 38% growth from 2017 to 2022 . • It supports over 28,000 jobs, with more than $1.24 billion in wages . • The industry directly contributes $1.05 billion to the state’s GDP, with an additional $713 million in economic value from indirect and induced effects . • Thoroughbred racing is the largest segment, responsible for $664 million in economic impact and 8,900 jobs . • Maryland has over 94,000 horses and ranks number one in horses per square mile in the U.S.
Good work, thank you.
Pretty awesome to see them fruiting in the wild. Hopefully one day they’ll be as common as they were pre blight.
Brandon … thank you again for bringing these stories to us
I live in Carroll County. I don't want the power lines!
What kind of tree is that?
I believe it is a white oak tree, but I’m not amazing with my tree identification yet. I need to work on it.
Thank you for continuing to make these videos!
The construction here was done be helicopter bringing g in towers by the section.
The Farm here is preserved too.
Here, NJ, even the lines crackle on high humidity days. The lines here are directly over the outdoor arena. The energy can be felt on high humidity days too.
Is the proposal for lines + towers on your property?
Yes the proposal is to construct a 500kV transmission line. It will cut through pats property as well as 70+ miles of other citizens properties.
MPRP project robs Peter to pay Paul. In other words. It robs citizens to pay big corporations and big government.
No farmers, no food.
The devastation to nature, farms, and property will be astronomical. Where are the activists? This "green project" is anything but green. It's nothing but destruction.
Follow the money. Only big corporations benefit financially. Big government gains more control. Tyranny. These big data centers are to track every citizen in America. ESG scores etc.
I know "Hen of the woods" brown color flat and bunched up clump. So, what is "Chicken of the woods" ? It is beautiful yellow color.
Chicken of the woods is a bright yellow and orange polypore mushroom that grows on dead wood. It’s also called the sulfur shelf, it gets this nickname because of the bright yellow underside it has. It only has one deadly look alike which is the jack-o’-lantern mushroom. With a little research they are easily told apart. Chicken of the woods is a beginner friendly mushroom, and one of my favorite to eat!
That's so sad. What a nightmare.
The camera women need to be appreciated smh😌
interview guy, get a drone.
heard
im on a 300 acre farm and if this land included a magnificent physical in-tact piece of American structural history like this kiln, it most definitely would NOT be covered in vegetation.
Mr. Miller has kept the kiln cleared out in the past and plans to clear it again. He works a large farm mostly by himself, and also has a daughter. Mr. Miller very much enjoys history and was very proud to have that Kiln on his property. On top of everything else Mr. Miller is doing, he has also joined the fight against MPRP. I see where your comments are coming from, but Mr. Miller I assure you is most certainly trying his best. I am also confident the kiln will be cleared out again in the future. As long as it is left to stand.
So glad I watched this, I learned so much and understand so many points that were foggy. Thank you for your time and effort! 💖
Stop MPRP!
My heart aches for everyone who thought they would never be in such a predicament because of the area you built up against. Protected land is supposed to be protected from these very things! So sorry this is weighing so heavy on all these families.
How are the lines going to effect the GPS on your tractor’s.
@@shellynjeff that’s a great question.
Someone needs to check the web page. It's being flagged by Antivirus software as a known dangerous site. Has it been hacked?
This didn't happen on my end when I just tried the website. Make sure you're going to www.stopmprp.com.
Such a heartbreaking thing to have happen. We are in the fight with you.
The actual route hasn't been decided yet, so it's not definite that this farm will be affected. It sounded like they were stating the line was coming through this property. It may, it may not. It is still important to fight the line and raise awareness.
If it's not this farm it will be another just like it. It doesn't matter which route they decide, we are all in this fight to the end. If it isn't this farm this time, it will be this farm next time. Projects like these that are only in the name of money, need to be stopped. MPRP is the tip of the Iceberg.
I agree and I said we need to keep raising awareness. I fought a similar project in Pennsylvania.
Also...we always said the PROPOSED route when we were fighting. We refused to ever imply that it would ever be a done deal and an actual route.
@@DustyGirl-i7q well said. I will take the feedback.
